Striker heads back to parent club

Gillingham FC can this evening confirm that loan striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has returned to QPR.

The 26-year-old made 35 appearances for the Gills, scoring 10 goals.

We thank him for his efforts during his six-and-a-half-months with the club, and wish him the best for the future.

In other words they've discarded him.

He's our problem, again!
Inside info from Gills fans...Norway is right, they do not want him near their team, he is a very bad influence and shows no effort..

I hope he will get nowhere near our team now.

JET and Ravel we are a special team!!!!

Opps! There I was hoping that we have recalled him as he was playing well. How naive of me. :)

If he does have a bad attitude which Ollie cannot turn around, then we need to add him to the "exit" task list for the summer.
But perhaps first we should give both him and Ollie a chance?

And yet he's scored 10 goals. Odd.
Maybe Freeman is a great mate (didn't he come from Bristol City too?) and will inspire him to greatness and QPR glory. On the other hand...!

According to the offy, he can't play for us this season as the loan was a season long one and he r emains a Gillingham registered player.
Got to wonder why we agree to abort a season long loan when he can't play for us because he''s on a season long loan.

I am told Gillingham pulled the plug
I gather that but wonder why we let them when it was for a season, he''s registered there for the season and we can't use him. I don't find the rules that govern this, but it seems odd.

I would suspect that the loan agreement is still in place and they might have to cover at least part of his wages until that loan deal comes to an end, regardless of where he is geographically. There would have been certain clauses in the deal to protect us.

Seems very peculiar Ossie, despite scoring ten goals for them they not only have decided that there's no way they're going to pick him for the team but also that that they don't even want him about the place!

Why would QPR even want to make an announcement about this?
