    Mr Tash
The best thing is you have realised this at a relatively young age. Apply this rule at every opportunity - if you have a chance to go somewhere or do something unusual or exciting then do it and throw everything into it.
I know too many people who have all of their life's big memories through watching stuff happen on TV rather than getting out there and living it for real.
One thing I highly recommend is travel - go to some of the David Attenborough destinations, have some adventures and I'll tell you what - travelling is where you meet the most beautiful women. it'll change your life and you might end up changing direction completely....or living in some far away place.
Seize the Day - don't sit on your arse. Life is way too short and as your finding out, time passes quicker the older you get.
Right, that's the end of the lecture..... Where's the remote ..:emoticon-0116-evilg

It's convenient philosophy, Tash, based on qualia suggesting that "good" and "enjoyment" is brought about by various activities... What's more it's an optimistic one.

Unfortunately, while it'd be illogical to disagree with seeking "pleasure" during our lifespan, I am in the pessimistic camp that realizes it tends to be the above attitude which venerates the selfish existence that thoroughly disgusts me, and makes the world we are born into a pretty horrible place to be most of the time (though it is undoubtedly true that not all pleasure-seeking affects others, before anyone reading this reconsiders that late night fondle). Some of those closest to me have been grievously harmed and abused in life and it's because of someone else seeking "pleasure".

Therefore I tend to prefer to live my life in service to those people, helping them out in little ways that pays back a bit of what I term the "social debt"... At least that way someone worthy has benefited from my time, and any pleasure I can derive from life will always be second to that goal... Why else are we called humanity?

Rofl, was a bit pissed last night and cringing a bit about what I typed, but whatever.

I would normally go to gigs and stuff but there are no good bands coming near, and none of the local bands interest me.

Good post, I'm not saying I'm going to be selfish.

I like helping others. Like I've saved up a lot of cash, and I sometimes help others out a bit and give them some cash and unless it's a substantial amount, I don't ask for it to be payed back.

Somethings are more important than money, and If I can make people happy with it, then it's better than just sitting in my bank account.

Yes, it is utterly frightening to think that, having not long ago turned 25 I can now say that I am pretty much a third of the way towards probable death according to the average life expectancy. The time does go fast so live and live well, do what makes you happy along with a bit of helping others out, it is definitely good for your mental state.

Don't be down though, you can console yourself with the thought that not only will you die but everyone you know and love will also, that within a couple of hundred years you will most likely have passed out of all thought or knowledge, and that in a few billion years it'll be like none of us or the planet we live on had ever even existed.

    Have a great day :)

What gives me hope is that I live in a totally different generation to the one that's life expectancy is around 75-80.

If I keep myself in decent shape, and with the rapid improvement of medicine and healthcare, I might be able to reach 90+

I don't smoke, I don't eat loads of fatty foods, I'm 6ft and 12 stone, so in decent physical condition. I don't know what it is with me but even when I don't exercise in months, I can still run and do harsh exercise quite well.

    Hahaa, booze is class mate.

I love it. But I know my limits, and don't drink too much

I've discovered the perfect thing. Instead of having to drink 7-8 bottles of beer...

I drink 2 VERY strong drinks, and it sets me up for the night, but I don't get a hangover because I've not digested all the carbonated **** that comes with most drinks or the sugar.

Large quantities of Vodka with Irn Bru or Coke man. After 2 drinks I feel ****ing amazing, and I don't wake up during the night, but it gets me up early at 6-8pm which is good because I don't like sleeping in.

It's the perfect mix brah. I don't know it's just Vodka and me are made for each other, but I don't let it take hold of me. I don't drink a single drop of Alcohol on work days, and I'm intelligent and I know the limits.

But I must say I'm really excited when a work week is over. I love getting tipsy.

Keep getting mails about upcoming gigs and just had one about Elton John from the Metro Radio VIP Club. Don't suppose you'll be into that kind of thing though, I know I'm not.

I'm into Heavy and Extreme Metal mate.

I like a few other types of music, and give every band or person a chance before judging them, but my main passion is for metal, and there's no scheduled band that's coming near our area that I would go and see, even as a gamble that I might like them.
