Class act, along with Vito and Seb who also attended and the club for ALL their support. Not sure how long Bradley has, but they've gone a long way to making his time very special.

The more I see of Defoe, the more I feel a bit cheated that he left for the Americas when he did. He is literally the player England have needed for years, and on top of all that is a great professional, a roll model & just about the fittest 34 year old ever. Amazing.

Me too! If this story doesn't touch your heart then you don't have one. I dont often get emotional about things like this but this is unbelievable. I have a kid similar age to Bradley and it kills me inside that this happens. Poor fella

Would'nt have picked Jamie Vardy if he played here <doh>
Defoes off field work is way above international class imo <cheers>

Have to say (and better for another thread really) Vardy deserved to go on last season's form - this season however, he's at best an average player

If Vardy starts for England again I'd be surprised.

Maybe get in the squad but no way should he start for England again.

Yes agree Vardy was a shoo in for his form but my default "Sunderland fan coping skill" kicked in but England need Defoe more than he needs them after his humane Bradley Lowery gestures <applause>

WTF? Did I just read that right?

Wandy are you saying he should get into the England squad because of his recent visit to Bradley?

Haway man - certainly not basically his off field action is way above international football - of course he should be given a chance at national level but that's Southgates choice.
SORRY if I was not clear in my post <cheers>

Good to see these professional sportsmen demonstrating that praying and leaving things in god's hands won't do a damn thing and that the main thing that will make this little boy's life happy (that they can affect) is making an effort to go and spend time with him. Kudos to the SAFC lads who choose to go and see the little lad, I'm sure they all understand just how much it means to Bradley and his family.
