No I am with you there whiffletree, being an ex servicemen, I know exactly what an enemy is, and they are certainly not that. They are our rivals, both sets of fans want to win the derbies and we have had some great ones over the years no matter what division we were both in, next year the eyes of the world will be upon our next derby with our Rivals, and on that note I hope the idiots stay away, which is a big ask. I am sure it will be fine, as we now represent 10% of the premier league we should both strive to stay there as long as we possibly can. Like my mate said (lifelong West Ham supporter) when the likes of Man U, Man C, Chelsea, and Arsenal come to town, don't expect to beat them and just enjoy the football, if we pick up the odd point off the top 5/6 teams that will be great. Personally I think that both Cardiff and Swansea will survive next season..Cant wait.

Look guys - we're talking about forum chat here, not our football rivalry which will, and always should be encouraged.

Haven't bothered with the Jack board at all. In different leagues meant no amount of goading either way influenced sod all in football terms - the one's performance couldn't affect the other.

Some more than decent Jack posters over the years, but the current crop are pretty poor by comparison. Jacks up for a bit of chat and a laugh like Bongo, Mabbs and Cartoon (and a small number of others) are the exception, otherwise the overall level has slumped to match their childish forum board antics.

If they come across here now we're in the Prem, fair enough, but there are far better posters on the likes of the Hull and Watford (if they come up) boards with whom I'd rather chat and banter with over football.

Old bitching rivalries die hard, but we should've moved on from that. Keeping them going now for the sake of it with petty jibes about gypos on the one side, and historic bad fan behaviour on the other is a right turn off.

If both sets of posters want to take the piss over football matters such as game results, table positions, players, managers and the like, I'm all for it and that would be a great improvement over the more recent crap that dulls the brain.

Apologies for being serious - most of you know I enjoy a laugh and an spat with opposition posters on our board and theirs on occasions, but some of this local garbage leaves me cold.

I agree, football banter is great and is encouraged. Cheap shots and petty name calling is not.
I sometimes visit the Swans board and it is painfully obvious who the main detractors are and their reasoning for such bile is puerile.

Sparkey I also think we will find new good posters to share banter with on the boards we'll be visiting next season. :)

I did think we could survive but I thought it was being to be very close at the bottom. Cardiff can survive, they just need to resist any temptation to overhaul the squad. You have a core, keep it, because that is the most efficient engine in a team.

Nearly there chaps, just 1pt off promotion to the Barclay's Premier League, playing the Manchesters, Chelsea, Arsenal et-al.

Shame to notice then, that all you are chirping about is us, the MIGHTY Swans, the Jack-B'stards and some imaginary banter we'll have: Cardiff fans aka bloobs still top the league for the narrow minded I see.

A bit of advise, look forward to next year, its great here in the Premiership so try to look forward to it and stop fretting about us, we're just fine <ok>

On a footballing note, how many points:-

    A) would you be happy with next year
    B) do you realistically see your boys taking off the MIGHTY SWANS next season.
C where would you be happy finishing in you first premier league adventure.

I would have been happy with 17th in our first season and was extremely happy when we actually finished 11th. I'll be chuffed with 9th this year and who knows what will happen next year. What I do know is that next season will be difficult for us as we have European football to contend with too.

Personally I'd be happy with a good European run and around 12th in the premiership, bottom line is premiership survival.

I see Cardiff finishing 15th or below, what do you think?

Stump, not everyone is chirping about the Swans and I believe the only reason this thread was posted was to alert us to the fact the Swans were chirping on about the Bluebirds on your board. So wind it in a bit.

At this moment in time I think the majority would take survival as the minimum.

    A) how many points would you be happy with next year
Enough to stay up, more would be a bonus.
    B) do you realistically see your boys taking off the MIGHTY SWANS next season.
Derby games are one offs so yes.
C where would you be happy finishing in you first premier league adventure.
    Outside the relegation zone.

As for the Swans, good luck on your European adventure, enjoy the ride.

I do hope those European games don't wear out your side when it comes to playing us. :emoticon-0116-evilg
Survival will do if we come up. There is a title to win in the meantime.

Chico, the thread title does not mention the Swans. It could apply to anyone.

As a jack I have no problem with it, we have had so much ammo over the last year or so I think our little cousins deserve one cheap shot!
