Why? This is the stance that Charles I took, that he was divinely above the laws of man. No-one is. In fact, there doesn't even have to be a law. A special 'Monarch and family' tax could simply be enacted.

It'll never happen. But please don't assume that it can't.

As I said to milk, we shall have to agree to disagree on this one as I can't see either side conceding.

Media : Corbyn Aide in fracas with BBC camera man
Media : Corbyn's driver in fracas with BBC camera man, BBC camera man in hospital.
Media : Alleged assault involved a member of Jeremy Corbyn's team.

Reality, driver is provided by the government's car service and has nothing to do with Corbyn and the labour party

Has Jeremy Corbyn driven over one of the Queen's corgis yet ,in his new, £120k super-car, that the Mail and Express are trying to insinuate that he insisted upon?

I actually am struggling to believe that society has resolved to this pile of crap we see today everywhere not just the UK.

I am of the opinion of late that 3\4 of people are complete morons. They read and react without engaging their brains.

Sadly it appeals to the masses precisely bcos they are clueless. The irony is that we laugh at democracies such as India who have a large majority of illiterate and uneducated voters. But the reality is we're only 1 step removed from the same ignorance when it comes to picking our politicians.

The problem is the kind of people who want to be politicians are not the type of people you want being politicians.

I've often thought Britain's house of commons would be a good match for a sorticratically determined body. (as in ancient Athens). Britain's house of Lords should be given slightly more powers and be democratically elected to provide balance. Hereditary positions wiped out completely.

Two houses. One elected, one chosen by sorti, would be ideal blend to better represent the people.

Agree, but what I find absolutely amazing is people still read **** in the media and just accept it is true. They listen to politicians swallow that **** up.

Complete ****in morons. Sadly many morons have a complete and expensive education, being moronic has nothing to do with education or intelligence, it's about being reactionary gullible morons who can't stop and apply objectivity and a smidgen of logic to what their brain is assimilating. <laugh>

I think a lot of people need to be told what to think. For example, after today's PM Question Time, most of the press were saying Cameron was never under any pressure from Corbyn. Apparently Corbyn didn't have him on the ropes. This then feeds into people's perceptions that Corbyn will be weak. The reality is that nobody gives two ****s about PM Question Time. Biggest nonsense around. As if PM Question Time has ever served as anything but a pointless media exercise for the last 2 decades. So in effect, ppl start to believe something they didn't give two ****s about before.

At least Corbyn actually did something different, he posed questions the public wanted to ask, the 6 questions were from 4000 questions offered.

Cameron resorted to some ad-homs and attacking Corbyn on the appointment of one particular minister.

The fact that the questions were from the public meant the Tories had to be civil. It was a good ploy, he outplayed Cameron there because the Tories could not make the usual animal noises and heckling they normally would have ;)

Sadly I think it will take someone like Russell Brand to promote Corbyn for these people to stop buying into this witch hunt <doh>

Edit: Oh he has been supporting him.... Maybe that won't help - it is some witch hunt tbf

It is indeed, even if people like Tobes are right about Corbyn it doesn't explain the witchhunt. If he is as disasterous as claimed, then the Tories should just let him get on with it and also the media, give him enough rope n'all that.

It's riduculous and fairly indicative of the joke politics are and evidence of how partisan political support has become.

When political discussion is like the arguments on here.. you just have to <doh>

It's not an orchestrated witch hunt (in the main). He's an easy target due to his unorthodox style and his left wing leanings. They're pouncing on every scrap as he's very news worthy at present and a headline writers wet dream.

I liked his approach to PMQT yesterday. Refreshing that and I think if he continues with that tone he might strike a chord with many. Good start for him. I'd love nothing more than for this falla to prove me wrong.

ROFL gotta love the management company where I life, just got another set of filter pads through the letter box for the air vents in the apartment, like clockwork every three months. Every 12 months they send a plumber to check all the sinks and showers fittings and pipework.
