All I would say is which of the 4 candidates has prompted most debate about the state of UK politics and already managed to get a significantly higher proportion of the public in this country politically engaged and aware. Which of them has shown that there is a different way ?? It's Corbyn. He's the only real 'opposition' on offer. That's what the guys on the other side of the Commons are supposed to be right, opposition ?? Not just a government-lite who don't offer any real challenge to their policies or ideologically.

Their purpose is to sell copies and generate revenue, that's it.

Their power came from the fact that their audience can be manipulated by their stance, hence the power and influence that Murdoch wielded at their peak. As people sought to buy their standpoint.

It's really no more complicated than that.

I aint by any means a John McCain supporter, I think the guy was a knob, but the **** Trump said about him was disgusting.

McCains plane was shot down in Vietnam, and he jettisoned out and broke both legs and managed to evade capture for a number of days in the jungle with two broken legs until he was picked up by a VC unit. He was then tortured and all other kinds of ****.
The guy is a War hero in that respect, you have to give him kudos for that, even if, politically, he was a douche bag.
Trump was like "He's no war hero, he got captured, I like the guys who weren't captured".
This is from a guy (Trump) who was given 5, count em FIVE, medical deferments to escape the draft in Vietnam, based on completely bullshit reasons (ie his daddy was loaded).

Of course. It was a rhetorical question ushering from my Thursday morning misanthropy. Why should we expect them to be interested in doing anything more than that ?? Why should we expect people to have higher standards for themselves than to accept and pay for the manipulation handed out to them by these throwaways and being lied to and deceived on a daily basis ??

I meant in terms of those that actually have a chance of winning. It's currently Clinton or Trump and that is how the media play it. Sanders is made look like an old fool by the medai, you have CNN and other liberal news and Clinton is their darling, then you have the right, they like Bush, Trump is right but he is not PC.

Currently it is a two horse race. Lessig and Sanders have 0 chance

Republicans like a strong unappologetic man, Trump has a real chance.

Bush jnr was an alcoholic who ruined several companies and he talked pure ****, he won <whistle>

"You are who you associate with and the media that you allow yourself to be influenced by"

If people are daft enough in the internet age, to take every word they read as gospel, then more fool them..........people will always seek to manipulate opinion via the media for their own ends, same as it ever was....

Lessig yes, he is running to prove a point.
Sanders has a real chance, he is catching up with Clinton fast in the polls.
He was 9 points up in the last New Hampshire poll.

Iv'e been saying since day one, this is Clinton's election. She has the majority democratic vote, the femtard vote and millions of votes for pruely being a woman.

When it comes down to two, it will be Clinton vs Trump or Bush

And look where my hand was....

Seriously though, you are right when you say more fool them.
The only problem is, people are fools.
The media wouldn't spend billions to influence peoples opinions if it didn't work.
Makes me angry that people don't look into stuff themselves

Fair point like.....but he was only ever a puppet of his auld fella and his oil baron buddies.......he's never had an original thought in his ilfe that daft ****.

However, the thought of shredded wheat head with his fat finger on the button is ****ing terrifying.......as he's a maverick and worse than that he's a maverick who's spent his life surrounded by sycophants and therefore believes he's some form of super being. The man is a ****ing melon head.

Ron Paul was winning polls and when the media reported on it, he was either bottom in the points list(though he was winning) or he was not even on the list <yikes> I **** you not

    Spot on <ok>
He suffers from Kim Jong Un syndrome.
Believes everything about him is incredible and awesome and he can do no wrong.

Presidents need to be more eloquent when debating than to call people "Loser" and "baby" and "Dummies" when they get owned in a debate.
And he needs to stop ****ing engaging in Twitter Flame Wars with other public figures.
    Why oh Why? ffs
Can you imagine Obama, or Cameron, or any other world leader making period jokes and calling people dummies and ugly pigs on Social media?! Seriously?

Aye, I said as much yesterday...
He would be assassinated within 12 months, guaranteed.
He is too risky, and not prepared to play ball with corporate big wigs.
He hasn't been bought and can govern free from pressure, which, with a normal president would be ****ing awesome.....
In Trumps case, as I mentioned earlier, Corporate pressure would probably be a good thing, to reel the ****er in.

yeah thats was the original point.
The media has turned on them both for the same reason, because they wont play ball like the usual suspects do.
They are just at polar opposites of the political spectrum.
