Its becoming the norm though isn't it? Everything is blown up to cataclysmic proportions these days. A couple of QPR-related incidents recently being among them.

No rationality. No context. Just "Off with their head"!! Its not that surprising really.

As Graham Norton famously might have said, I'll take three thumbs up over reputation anyday.... :)

I cannot believe the over-reaction to Clarkson's comments. People really need to get over themselves!!

we seem to agree that this pompous arrogant piece of s**t is an utter twat..but i bet the ulterior motive behind his outburst, is the sale of his dvds and books !

I honestly can't think of anyone worth 'overreacting' to then Jeremy 'the ****' Clarkson. Every single point of view he has on anything is abhorrent. I hope to never see his face on TV again. As Stewart Lee once said...
'Jeremy Clarkson is either an idiot or a genius. He is either an idiot who actually believes all the badly researched, lying, offensive **** that he says, or, he's a genius who's worked out exactly the most accurate way to annoy me.'

    No, we don't ALL agree.

Personally, I like that there's still some people happy to say what they think and to hell with the namby-pamby sensibilities of others. I don't think he's either pompous, arrogant, a piece of ****, or an utter twat. And given how popular his shows are and the attention he gets, I doubt that most peole think the way you do.

Genius, then. Because anyone who can consistently annoy a 'comedian' who has worked out how to have the career he's had wiothout being remotely amusing about anything or anyone gets Graham Norton's three big thumbs up from me.

So a fan of Jeremy Clarkson and not a fan of Stewart Lee? They obviously come from complete opposite ends of the spectrum politically, so it would be very difficult to like both. However, one puts across very intelligent, well reasoned arguments, with humour and conviction. The other is Jeremy Clarkson.

I have a profound disliking for that man.

Then we agree to differ. Stewart Lee was Richard Herring's straight man, and his solo efforts remind me of Ernie without Eric.

do you think that comments such as "executing public sector workers in front of their families"is namby-pamby? if he believes his statement then he should have stood up and been counted!oh maybe he was frightened of losing his gilt edged job on the bbc ..
