See, the thing is, no one predicted that Labour would collapse so badly in Scotland post-indy referendum. In fact, most people thought the SNP would collapse and Labour would be the main beneficiaries. They would regain their dominance of Scottish politics and their large number of MPs sending whichever leader to No. 10.

Jeremy Corbyn thinks he can win Scotland back, hence his opposition to Scottish independence - despite supporting independence for every other country in the world. He needs Labour in Scotland to win back seats from the SNP to hand him the keys to No. 10.

Funny enough my english brother in law said the exact same thing,didn't want Independence because he would be stuck with a Tory government for ever,Labour needed the Scottish labour MPS at that time and as you said no one predicted they would be wiped out.

 

Ironically the indy movement needs a Tory government and a no deal brexit to bump up support for indy.

The only thing that will stop a Tory No Deal and therefore Indy is a Corbyn Government.

This is why the SNP and the Cybernats are quick to attack Corbyn.
