Doesn't sound like the "mistakes" were that serious to me. I mean everyone on the team gives the ball away sometimes. The second one, I'll watch, but when someone is "Out of postion", it is usually a team effort.
In fairness, I think the point raised is a fair one- Jenko really will get ripped apart against big teams this year if we're forced to play him. He's far too raw a player and I just hope that Bacary Sagna makes a very quick recovery so we're not forced to put him in.
Agreed Jenkinson has the raw ingredients to be top quality but positionally he is totally clueless. He's not ready for first team football yet.
I watched the second one - very curious. I thought when I read the report that he was up the field, but he was way inside. I wonder what that was all about? We will never know, but it seems a bit odd that he would track that far away "by mistake". Edit: did he suffer a blow to the head or something?
I panic whenever I see Jenkinson in the team, I actually like him as he appears to be humble and a gooner as well, not his fault he is thrown in at the deep end. To think he is cover for Sagna (who incidentally is still out injured and will not make the start of the season) shows a lack of planning..... I also noticed a united fan defending him, sure he will, after he gifted them a couple of goals at old trafford last season!
People have just got to honestly ask themselves if they feel secure with Jenkinson as the RB to step up against the likes of Barca, Madrid, Manu etc in place of Sagna?
Whilst you may have reservations about how he may fair in the premier league, surely the only way players can improve is to play in games like this where the results dont matter and if mistakes are made, use the analysis to help improve players. Lambasting individuals dosent get anyone anywhere. At times it just feels like it is 'fashionable' to conduct witch hunts against players and I find that all a bit unedifying.
Arsenal87 has gone all keyboard warrior on this thread. Has anybody told him it's not that big a deal if people disagree with you on the internet?
I'm guessing the confusion was because the question wasn't really relevant to what was being talked about. If you're doubting whether he's an Arsenal fan I can confirm when he joined he kept coming on our board and being an arse, if that helps
I agree with this. Also, he wasn't completely dire throughout, and there are a huge number of right backs that are going to be tortured by Aguero, over the course of the season. It's not like he was playing against "rubbish". I think this is more a desire by people to be proved right, rather than any real reflection on the way a player performs in a pre-season game. There is a huge section of the Arsenal fanbase that don't want Jenkinson to succeed, because he didn't cost 40M. Arsenal winning something isn't enough anymore. Arsenal have to win something, AND they have to be proven right, and the current regime at the club wrong.
Arsenal87, The Zlatan (Hizmo) just another prat pretending to be a fan. I say we do away with the scum before the season starts
Yeah - include the mong (spud) mods as well. Slimey cowards keep deleting posts without comment. Probably that racist pleasenotpoll as his type usually have a yellow streak as wide as the M1 running down their backs.
It was me. PM sent after the second time, usually I don't bother because even wums are bright enough to know why they get deleted but I'm more than happy to explain to anyone who has their post deleted and is a little slow
Ok this thread is about Jenkinson. If you've got problems with each other, please keep it to PM Pretty please
you bought up 'wum cull' in the first place. I still think it's a good idea as long as you include the cowardly mongs like yid
