laudrup and Monk were treated as different as night and day imo.
For Laufrup , Jenkins started laying land mines from the day Laudrup's agent was chased out .
Lets analyse that , from what I understand it was because Laudrup's agent was shopping Williams around .
Now IF true , look at Williams and his agent previous track record , I can't remember a transfer window previous that Williams and his agent weren't shopping Williams around .Laudrup doesn't shine to highly on players that do that and was basically saying if you really want to go , we'll help you and Jenkins brought the hammer down .
Then there was Jenkin's bellyaching about spending 12 million on Bony in the press saying it "Wasn't the Swansea way " . These events werehappening while Laudrup was doing just fine but Jenkins had a lip on for Laudrup already . So after Jenkins shows his displesure at paying 12 million for Bony what does he do at the first thing the next season for Monk pays 7 million for a defender.7 million for a defender is at least equal to 12 million for a striker and shows Jenkins was talking out his arse complaining about 12 million for Bony.
Now we made 15 million on Bony , we won't recover our money if Fernandez goes .
Now , Laudrup was doing fine in all competitions up till the Norwich game
Laudrup's last 10 games in all competitions , over a 5 week period ,had him win 3 of them(while infested with injury ) were against Everton ,Chelsea ,villa , Man City , 2 against Man U, totenham , Fulham and West ham .And we won our last game previous to his final game againstWest Ham . We were in a relegation battle , but so were 10 other teams when Monk was handed the team with a favourable schedule and a finally healthy team and Bony ready to fire on all cylinders.
Now Monks last 10 Games in all competitions , and I won't count the loss to Liverpool.
    10 games , 1 win over a 9 week period with a totally healthy team .
Teams he faced , Watford , Everton ,Hull ,Southampton ,Totenham ,Stoke Villa Arsenal ,Norwich and Bounemouth
Two sets of rules for two different managers , one set for a manager Jenkins liked and controlled and one set of rules for a manager he grew to dislike and couldn't control .
Jenkins 's biggest plus was picking managers who could get the best out of a team and bring in fine transfers , from Martinez through to Laudrup , that changed with the hiring of Monk .
Now I 'm not saying Monk should possibly be dismissed , just that , through Jenkins's own actions on behave of Monk, Laudrup should have never been dismissed.

If Huw hasn't already tested the interest and availability of potential Managers, then he's not doing the job that he's handsomely paid for ....
