He's only on loan, isn't he?

His goal against Arsenal in the 4-4 game is very, very underrated:

    8.45 onward.
    Excellent finish with his left.

Now that is about as unfair as it gets. Damned funny, though!

  3. "Adebayor maintains his incredible record against Spurs!"

Yeah, let's hope he's able to break records for us!

What is interesting, in looking yet again at the 4-4 game against our nemesis team, is that three heros of that match (namely Bent, Bentley & Jenas) are no longer with us, or considered, but the majority of the faithful, as being worthy of the shirt.

    Such a shame, I think.

I look at Jenas. Bundles of ability, seems short on the guts and determination that seperate him from the likes of Gerrard (Can Gerrard really do anything with a football that we haven't seen JJ do?)and means he cannot reproduce these gifts on a regular basis.

Then I look at O'hara. Nowhere near as gifted, but what he did have, he gave, every game he played for Spurs.

Who would you have playing for your life?

I wouldn't expect either to be in a worst or best XI but an underachievers XI? JJ sits nicely in midfield. If he were a car he would be an old Alfa Romeo: Looks good on the drive and gives you moments of real joy but you will ultimately spend lots of dough on it and sell it at a loss.

  6. So, what you'd do is buy a secondhand one.

Which, ironically, is what Villa did <ok>

I hope Jenas has a good season for Villa, at least then his value may well increase when we eventually sell him permanently.
