Lovenkrands was rotten at Newcastle this year .
He was only ever 3rd or 4th choice striker (after Carroll left, even lower before) so if you're basing your opinion on him alone, you know nowt about our team.

PS You're the stupid one, clearly he mentioned it as a retort to Pardew's negative comments about the SPL earlier this month. It was pretty obvious to all, well all except you.

It was a dig about Pardew's comments - trust me. They didn't like it one bit.

 

I don't know why people keep dishing out the names of Scottish players who have played in the EPL. There's only been about 10 mentioned in total, out of an entire country. There are HUNDREDS of players in the EPL. Getting a few good enough to make it is almost a certainty in every country. It means jack ****.

Any quality the SPL has is in Rangers and Celtic - and the quality ain't great. From that point on, the quality of players in the rest of the teams is very poor and, compared to the English leagues, at about league one level and much lower in some teams.

Take strikers for example. Look at how much you'd pay for a SPL striker who manages to get 20 goals a season, and then look at how much you'd pay for a Premier League footballer with 20 goals a season in him.

There are actually about 20 plus players who have previously played in the SPL that are now regulars in the EPL and most of them don't come from Rangers or Celtic this has nothing to do with Scottish players it's SPL players who amazingly are not all Scottish. The reason you don't pay as much is because look how much money even the bottom team in the EPL gets its 10 times more than the winners of the SPL so teams can't afford to say no to a decent price.
