To the question in hand, if Jelavic has a bad game then Rangers probably won't win that game - they are that reliant on him. Given the fees being banded about in the EPL he would be a relatively good value signing for any club.
Apparently, McCoist was informed of the impending QPR bid in the run up to last night's game.
I have to disagree with Mick though. I think he's completely over-rated. Rangers paid £4m for him and I don't think he's done anything to increase that value.

I think he is a top player
Not world class - wont be one of the best in the EPl, but at a club like QPR he is capable of scoring 10/15 goals in a season - not bad for a striker at a club who have scored only 17 thus far.
He'll never play for a top team though - not good enough for that in my opinion. One of the best in the SPL though
Probably not worth £8m - but English teams pay silly money for worse players - so Rangers should be holding out for at least that much
