Agreed Phil, that's why I'm glad its a loan deal rather than wasting 5-7million on him
I'm glad he's back as we know what he's capable of but more so because it's a loan deal ,even though his value may increase I'd rather see us get someone with a bit more commitment to the cause , or and by the way tomorrow's Sunday just in case you didn't know

I was thinking something like that myself but with Europa league football coming up we're going to need a biggish decent squad so i,m happy for him to be back on loan for another season..

I really hope I can come on here in 6 months and say - you were all right JDG and Pablo ARE class and a lot more than potential.We will be in the top 6 for sure if that happens
Don't have to wait until then Lumber. JDG is class, he scored 8 goals from midfield,had the most assists,was the most accurate taker of set pieces in the prem league(which makes you wonder why the **** our centre halfs couldn't chip in a bit more) and is a fully fledged Dutch International !! class
Ive had a go at him many times over the season as I have with any player that had a poor game, truth is that even the likes of Roony and Van Persie have **** games now and again, our players are probably the most frustrating to watch IMO, they can be sublime one game and poor the next but I guess that's all reflected in the price isn't it ?
£5,5m is chicken feed in the prem league,especially when you consider an unproven player like Tom Ince who has never played at prem level is on the market for £8,2m !!
I think it didn't help Pablo that Chico and Michu settled in very fast and that put a bit of pressure on him, once he had a few games he quickly became the first name on the team sheet up until his injury, then seemed to lose a bit sparkle and he became inconsistent but still sublime in patches,giving us something that no other player in the team can provide.
If we get this striker Bony he will score a lot off Pablo's intelligent play
