Agree Dragon. With a new striker or two hopefully, can't see where JDG fits into the squad with Canas, Leon, Ki and Michu occupying the CM slots.
I don't think he'll make much of an impact with the Dutch National team Norway!..........................................
£5 million for a player who scores and makes goals in the Premiership doesn't seem that much too me. Did better in the Michu role behind the striker and if we bought him that's where I'd use him. However, with Laudrup likely to leave next summer and JDG being a Laudrup acolyte and all.... wouldn't a season long loan suit all parties better?
i'd buy him now. he will be going to Brazil next summer. a good World Cup showing from the dutch and him can only raise his value.
Yankee are you suggesting we might take him on "HP" I think we might be playing "ketchup" with JDG on this one
Possibly they feel the amount stipulated in the loan agreement is too high and want it to expire so they can try get him for less. Who knows. Think he's a good player but I'm a little shocked he got into the Dutch team. When it comes to big championships he'll be well on the fringes
He may very well be on the depth part of the squad as opposed to first choice for the Dutch team, but nevertheless the Dutch are ranked 5th by FIFA and he's in their squad - that says a lot about him and us. It sends a value message to all other players ... if you aspire to the international stage come play for the Swans, showcase league, great football, great coach, develop your game and your brand. Tiendalli and JDG are proof positive of that value ... and Vorm has grown in stature as well. We should back our initial judgement and the player's development and international recognition. He is going to the World Cup finals next year with every expectation of progressing to the final rounds - after that his value can only appreciate.
Oi ! Yankee !, can you tell your colonial mates NOT to give Sergio, who is a Jack Bastard by the way, not so much stick or else!
