Seconded. Simmo doesn't look as pacey as he did in the first few games and Proschwitz really needs a full game alongside Aluko to properly prove what he can do.
I can't really remember that from the Ipswich game so I'll take your word for it, but I'd probably have disagreed if you mentioned it at the time. Agree with the rest of your point though.
I like Simmo but he pissed me off with those 2 joke shots from ridiculous positions, where he could've helped us develop an attack but instead just gifted their 'keeper 2 chances to take 3 minutes to take a goal-kick. I don't think this is the right game to drop him for though, unless he's tired. If he's poor today, I'd play Mclean at Forest. I think Watford away would be the right place to start Proschwitz.
I'd go with Prossy and Simmo up top. Put Aluko wide and Quinny on the other. Meyler n Koren in the middle. 4-4-2.
two year contract actually. so Aluko may well get to play alongside Fryatt in the PL next season. Was what Tesco's car park this time ? I dont shop at Tesco if i can help it. Asda, Sainsbury and Waitrose if you dont mind. If that happens OLM will bow at the feet of Steve Evans and lick his boots. 3 - 5 - 2 again by all accounts.
In theory Proschwitz should be able to knock down balls for Aluko to feed off.. but his heading ability is in question.. I might too be tempted to start them & bring on Simmo as a sub.. Mclean wastes far too many chances
I like Chazz's idea. I sometimes think we're wasting Aluko's talent a bit by playing him up front because it's like putting Garcia there, he never actually spends time in the area so he isn't really a striker is he?
Would always start Simpson above Proschwitz at the moment as the German has only ever produced in one game in his city career and that was off the bench, also why would you break up a good strike pairing, it's not like we are struggling at the bottom of the table
See Fryatt is getting better and better the longer he doesn't play. No pace, can't head it, can't trap a bag of sand and if he has to think about a chance he'll miss. Whether you think he's great, average or crap, it doesn't really matter as I'm nigh on certain he won't play for City again
I think if Simpson or Prossy has started today they'd have loved the service in the first half and got on the scoresheet. Sods law that the day we play without a recognised goal poaching striker is the day we get 100 crosses in the box just begging to be poked in.
Another Fryatt double hat-trick missed. We should get him an off-road wheelchair and stick him on anyway.
Not so sure Simpson will come back in the side @ weekend, I think we may stick with the same team (providing Meyler is still here)
I do like Simpson, he holds the ball up brilliantly, his touch is excellent, he's quick, but you just can't guarantee he is going to score when you need it.
