http://officialjayrodriguez.co.uk/index.php/blog-news/37-trip-to-adidas 'Unbelievable performance from the boys at the weekend!' There you go, supportive. Now can we stop trying to find doubt where it doesn't exist..?
Not me, guv. His secret plan to tunnel out of St Mary's from under a vaulting horse in the gym seems to be an urban myth.
No, I know it wasn't you. I wasn't having a go. I suppose it must have looked that way because I wrote nothing. In fact, what am I talking about. I must have been having a go at you because I didn't deny it first time. Damn..! OK, I'll come clean. I was having a go at you. There, I said it.
Which is why he should be really good when he gets back as he only has 5/6 months to attract interest.
- Team with more money who need English players (Man City) - Team with more money who appear to be struggling for attacking players (Spurs / Liverpool) - Team with more money than sense (Spurs / Liverpool) Your point is a fair one but Arsenal paid 16m (and I am assuming a significant wage increase) for a player who wasn't guaranteed a start in our first team...
Why would he only have 5/6 months to attract interest. If no one wants him next summer he can still not sign a contract and play through next season and go the following january / for free at the end of his contract Unless you are assuming that if he hasn't won his place back and proven himself by Summer 2015 and no one wants to sign him he is unlikely to be able to generate any as a reserve from that point on...?
it's going to be interesting. if there are no takers next summer or the january after he'll be 27 by the time he joins another club, with maybe one good season under his belt and no momentum.
Considering he's still on his first contract with us, he surely stands to significantly improve both his weekly pay and his length of contract by signing up with us. To gamble that on being able to move on when he's contracted for another year and a half seems reckless to me. Especially as Tottenham don't want to spend serious money.
Especially as if rumours are to be believed he is gambling on Daniel Levy being prepared to pay what he would probably consider over the odds
True, but the ITKs act like he's keen on leaving/joining up with MP. Players are looked at a lot more in the summer than January and I don't think we can let him go on a free in 2016.
we reportedly resisted substantial bids for cork but still didn't offer him a contract. i'm not sure what they are up to.
One thing the ITK'ers conveniently avert their eyes from, preferring to believe intrigue and hearsay. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...remier-League-season-under-Ronald-Koeman.html 'At no stage was Rodriguez the subject of an offer and nor did he ask to be kept informed of any interest.' That's true.
Not saying your wrong but I read somewhere that a bid of £3m was put in for Cork, and that is nowhere near enough to being a substantial bid.
Why would Jay ask to be kept informed etc? He is injured atm so of course wants to get back to being match fit and injury free. Why would he ask his current employers to tell him if a bid came in? That would just annoy Saints, who are helping him with his injury atm. More then one person has said about Jay talking to Pochettino before Poch left about following him.
