I saw the last part of the Bolton game in replay last night, and christ I still got nervous seeing how close we were to diasater - if Sorensen hadn't got down to make that good save from that header from that final corner we'd have gone. Felt sick looking at that!
This! The twist that never happened was Bolton getting a last minute winner, as you correctly point out Oslo, that Sorenson save was so vital given what happened at City next. Perhaps we'd have all felt happier if Bolton had scored and we'd held on, but I don't even want to go there.
Guys, the only reason why we didn't win 2-1 was because the team had found out they were safe and so relaxed a bit after the stress of the last few months.
Think I phrased it wrong. Obviously I wanted us to win and hold out but once I found out we were safe it didn't really bother me. I would've taken an 8-0 loss and staying up so I was still pleased. But yes, when aguero scored I did allow myself a smile as I knew that I'd witnessed history and something that was to be spoken about for years. Plus it took the title away for United. However I do actually have a city top! My dads always had a soft spot for them having met one of their players on the tube or something when he was a kid which has rubbed off on me especially when they had Marc Vivien-Foe as he was my favourite player in football (sorry QPR it took me a while to get my priorities straight). I even had one of those panini stickers of him up on my wall. However since the Sheik takeover I dont care for them as much anymore.

We should have held on .. its that simple .. Its done and dusted i know but we should have held on. Bolton were rubbish and deserved to go down before wolves and Blackburn IMO. Next year we should all be hoping to finish in the top 10 without doubt. I want Europe and a Cup
For me, Kenny had a mixed game. Some great saves and some situations when he should have done better. This has been the same all season, really. I don't think that it's because of the change in quality of opposition since climbing to the premier league. Players from the conference can shoot well, and there was some amazing shots stopped by Kenny last season but for some reason he's seemed a bit dodgy this season. I do think we need a new keeper, asap.
You've just admitted you wanted us to lose and amazingly you're not the first. You're an utter disgrace to all QPR fans around the World. I can't believe what I'm hearing! Was just wondering. Was it Bothroyd that lumped the ball up to Joe Hart from the tip-off after they'd scored the winner? I was enraged when I saw this at the time. We were basically saying "here, we've given you the game; enjoy it". Unbelievable.
That's a very important point Oddball. I wonder what COL and his motley crew would be saying had Bolton got a last minute winner? Something somewhat different I would think. Another great point. I heard one of our coaches was jumping around like a Gorilla when our best result in Premier League history was still within our grasp. Astonishingly unprofessional.
Think of the profundity of what you're saying. We changed the result of the entire Premier League title race because of a result else where. I can't believe you're excusing highly paid professionals of switching off in the most important game of the season because they were "stressed". Are you having a fu*king laugh mate? I take it Swords you were at the game and could see the whole of the pitch so you are able to give your definitive assessment. You come on here daily with your wise words. When did you last see a QPR game live? Before you ask my last visit to LR was many years ago and thats why I dont comment on particular players and how they performed. Many years ago a drink with Bill Dodgin jnr made me realise that the average supporter saw matches diffently to professionals even when they were present at the game. every supporter has the right to an opinion but its needs to be put across right. If players are in the team there is a reason, they have reached a level that we didn't. Have a good summer and please dont slag off any signings we make. dont forget they were selected by proffessionals.

Of course i wanted to hold on but since I knew we were safe the result of the game didnt bother me that much especially since I was in the privileged position of watching live a match that will go down in history. We lost the battle but won the war.
