I hope so too, if he can get on a get a great reception it can't hurt our chances in helping him choose what he wants to do for next season!
Koeman says that Jay did not do any contact training....can imagine that message to the players: touch him and you are dead.
If he's not yet done any contact training is he likely to come on this season?
I guess it depends on how that fits in with his recuperation and also how we are doing in the league....I would guess not. If he stays, it would be better to keep him fit and then hope he gets a good preseason. If he is going, why risk him....that would be like driving your car in Le Mans after someone offers you a good price for it. Ronald has suggested that he is more likely to play a part in an U21 game.
He'll probably play today then. Sunderland's defence don't do any contact training either.
Perhaps he can do some contract training instead.

This increase would be cost neutral if we can shift Osvaldo in the summer who is our top earner
I also hope it has a few fitness related clauses in it.
And if he has a good season with a new 5 year deal and the vultures come in they will have to pay big money to get him.
