You didn't seem to get the sarcasm in my first post or seem to get the drift of the second...

Athletico CANT SIGN A REPLACEMENT, nothing to do with using Sunderland last season as a yardstick. Agree we are looking in the lower end of the market but my point was that if Athletico cant sign a replacement for a outgoing player either Athletico know they have a gem in their youth set up to replace him, his contract is running out (it wasn't) OR he is as much use as a chocolate teapot. Lets hope Athletico have the next Dani Alves coming through....
If Atletico Madrid sent him on loan last season then I would assume they already have 2 RBs and don't need to replace Manquillo?

You know with all these transfer rises, I'm starting to think it was Spurs who have done us over the Sissoko transfer, to an extent. £6m per year for 5 years. First payment last year was worth £6m. What is £6m worth this year, and for the following years, if you see what I mean? That transfer wasn't 'worth' £30m in real terms last year at all. Let's just say we didn't fleece them quite as much as we might have thought we did.

I think we definitely did fleece them. They are having to pay to get rid of him.

Most of the current big deals will have staged payments as well

He aint no Yedlin boys, he's not even on Colbacks level, he bottled challenges when with us. Not bad going forward tho and two footed. You'll struggle if he makes your starting 11.
Good Luck tho for the new season.
Fair response, didn't think there was a lower level than Colback. To be fair Benitez is a defence obsessed little ****er so I hold some hope he can improve that side of it and, if not, he will be out the teammate quick.
Good luck to yous, need to get another striker or mcgeady won't have much to work with. And some midfielders,
And some defenders (not O'Shea)
And a GK

I actually rate Grayson and he's perfect for your team ATM, don't see you suffering double relegation, but ewt else depends on who he can get in.

I hope you can compete, looking forward to it all after suffocating at the bottom of the Premier for 10 year. We need to win the league or have a play off season for some excitement. The horse has bolted for us for the Premier, we can't get the players up here, need a Beardsley, Waddle and Gazza to come thru. (not a Taylor tho)
HaWay The Toon, good luck!

I had a fab time last year in the EFL mate. Some real football places to visit.

We took a step back to hopefully take two forward so here's hoping you chaps can do the same.

Bri - the best laughs are at the end of the season not at the start. Didn't last year teach you anything?

Yes, it taught him that you should laugh whenever you think you have the chance. if you wait until the end of the season there is likely to be nothing to laugh about.

This hasn't been announced yet correct? I don't think he's that bad. I mean we were playing Anita at rb last season for Christ sake.

You can't judge the lad on his time with Sunderland. They are and were ****e. I don't think much of that was down to him. He walked into a ****ty situation at ****ty club.
