Sad to say the club have announced his departure...rumour is QSF is coming back, not happy about that but he's defence minded I guess.
Absolutely not, I didn't want him to go I wanted him to turn it round and I definitely don't want QSF, his football was awful and he was horribly stubborn, but our defense is shocking atm!A Bloody Disgrace !!
Looks like youre doing your King is Dead,Long Live The King bit again Hornette.
Been a supporter more years than i care to remember, but can only wish these owners relegation at the end of the season.
Happy now Mexican ?
The only benefit in QSF is that he is currently available, and can start immediately. I would have given a lot to see the Joka returning - as you say he could change things around in mid match. He also managed to improve the team over the season without a slump at the end, like so many others. I was alarmed by the intensity of our pre season (or rather lack of it), and this coupled with the ridiculously big squad that we have, was asking for trouble. Everyone else appeared to start earlier than we did - when we played Ajax in our first pre season match it was their fifth. You simply cannot get a squad of 35 players (one of the biggest in the Prem) all match fit, get an idea of your best available starting 11, and concentrate in team building work in just 4 pre season matches. We weren't up and running for the season opener, and when that is the case you run a danger of chasing the game until at least Christmas.QSF seemingly confirmed..
Very sad at the news because I found Javi a hugely likeable man. I am afraid that getting to the FA Cup final did us no favours, as once we knew we were going results dropped off, and the final itself did nothing for the confidence of the players. I tend to agree with cologne about pre-season, but to simply put it down to that doesn't fully explain the dreadful start to this season. I expressed my feelings about individual players not fitting into our defence, but that is more about the players available to any coach.
I am staggered that we have gone back to QSF. Yes he is known to the Pozzos and was available, but to re-employ someone you sacked as not being good enough seems bizarre to me. Joka was good for us in the Championship and good for Fulham in the Championship, but in the PL he failed to badly. At least with QSF we can have a moan about his style of playing today rather than finding out tomorrow that someone else we have never heard of has been appointed.
Sorry Then !!Absolutely not, I didn't want him to go I wanted him to turn it round and I definitely don't want QSF, his football was awful and he was horribly stubborn, but our defense is shocking atm!
QSF was not sacked last time, the club simply did not renew his contract.
What a classic play on words , Politicians type speakQSF was not sacked last time, the club simply did not renew his contract.
I thought it was QSF who decided to not take upthe option of the second year on his contract and it was he who had that option inserted into the contract?
What a classic play on words , Politicians type speak
The completion and non renewal of a contract is not a 'sacking' in anybody's language.
It is if you have done what was asked of you, and reasonably expected it to be renewed. Still that is hair splitting. What I read from the reasoned views is that people are not happy to see the return of QSF. Nine men behind the ball, lump it up to Deeney and Ighalo and hope they can do something with it seems to be how they remembered it.
What is it with these owners ? Think I'm right that they recently extended Javi's contract, heaped praised on him- now will once again be paying out large amount of compensation, yet on the pitch seem to prefer to accumulate the probable fortune they have made recently rather than spend.Yes do understand things like the ground improvements that have been made.
Once again the outside world are already mocking, and some here get upset when theres critisism, which they surely would do too if other clubs had this ones record. Makes you pine for the simpler days in the lower divisions when they still did well but were not laughed at.
You mess with people like Gracias lives Pozzos cos you dont want to lose all that money you're making by being in this division, wouldnt be surprised if they dine with B Johnson.
No doubt the majority will just go along with all this cos its more important to keep Premier status, I'm thinking of moving to Luton (with the benefit of being near Wear Yellow !!)
JG, good luck and go and have a success like Dyche. From what i can work out he got the boot before they even had the courtesy of meeting him.
Dont think many on here would like the Pozzos as employers !
