He has set himself a target of 4 titles by 30, i.e. within 10 years. Although he is assuming another year or two for Honda to come good. That is such an arrogant statement. Maybe he will achieve it but I can not think of any 20 year old making a public statement like that (someone will find something somewhere I guess). It is the assumed quantity, he is effectively saying he wants to be the all time great. He assumes he is in the best car. Maybe he will bully himself through to achieve it. Bit like Trump when on camera in a crowd (i should avoid politics!).

You also ranked Kimi higher than Vettel, which really tells everyone everything they need to know about how you rank drivers.

Max is seriously quick but I agree with what everyone says - he needs to come down a peg or two.

If Honda doesn’t go to plan, I can see toys coming out of the pram in a way that makes Alonso look tame <laugh>

With him and Gasly- a very young partnership- at RBR next year, part of me wonders how they will be reigned in. Horner might have some tough tasks next year.

If only on how Vettel coped with the wet race compared to Kimi. Kimi was miles faster in wet than Vettel. When Kimi is motivated he is better than Vettel

It was a Ferrari error that dumped Vettel in the position he was in Yeah, it was a bit of a lunge on Max, but they left him with a ton of work to do and to get done quickly to try stay in the fight. Without that, It could have been a different story.

I agree that this last race was mostly Ferrari fault for mucking up Vettel's Q3...
If Ocon is in a Mercedes he will beat both of them.

I think he would beat both hands down. In F3 European championships Ocon won both Driver's and Rookie championships. Max was 3rd in the drivers and 2nd in the Rookie's...So why do you think Ocon wouldnt be more than a match for them?

I believe Max should have had a lot more points than Ricciardo though...with all the car troubles Ricciardo has had. And yes, I believe Ricciardo is a better driver than Max. Max mighty be fast and wild but Ricciardo is fast and measured....i doubt he would make as many unforced errors as Max, and in a title fight I think Max will make plenty mistakes if he doesn't change. That includes listening to advice, and owning his mistakes.

    Not Leclerc.

Guys, the kid is a monster. He’s Hamilton level good. Possibly has the potential to be better.

Always good to see a new generation bringing stars to the track.
My wife was Matt's neighbour when he was growing up, guess you know his brother was a better footballer.

Really?!?!?! Now there's an interesting stat that I'm 100% sure has never been brought up before. Wonder why di Resta never brought that up?
