Looks a bad apple to me, unless he makes an effort to integrate, he could find himself out in the cold again very quickly. His reaction when Defoe scored was not promising and I am sure it will have been noted.

Absolutely. As long as he does the business for us I couldn't give a damn if he's miserable twat! again not something that bothers me. Intelligence off the field isn't important. Rooney and Gerrard both seem thick as pig **** to me. Both great footballers though
Not a criticism. More a mitigating factor for his perceived lack of happiness. I don't think he's socially aware to the point where he probably isn't bright enough to know you smile when you're happy. Gerrard and Rooney aren't thick as pig **** by any means. Two naturally fairly intelligent boys who're in dire need of an education. Paul Merson is a good example of thick as pig ****.
Perception though. They both sound thick as ****. As does Beckham. None of them are but they come across as being thick. I've no honest idea whether they are (but wish I was £500k behind them!) Merson is thick though. Much like a certain Michael Chopra.
Merson gets a hammering by a few on here, but footballwise, he talks a lot of sense, its his style to play the thick lad, but he is not that daft imo.
