Japanese international striker Shinji Okazaki - who plays for Mainz in the Bundesliga ... http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/T...ional-linked/story-25811445-detail/story.html
From what I've seen of him, Okazaki would be a great signing. I'm getting very excited by being linked with all these attacking players, but we really do need to be strengthening our defence, and we haven't really heard anything about that!
In someways im glad we are looking at strikers first, the last thing we need to do is rush a crap striker through on deadline day for double what hes worth. In regards to defence, we really havnt been on the end of a real hammering, what has impeded us the most is our lack of goals & oppertunities created, give me a good attacking midfielder now and ill be happy with this transfer window.
We have been linked with ex Tottenham and Man City defender Vedran Chorluka and QPR winger Junior Hoilett
Sky have suspended betting on who Sean Maloney will be transferred to, with him expected to make the switch to the mighty and fearless LCFC (and I dont mean Lincoln).
Really hope so ... I thought he was Wigan's outstanding player in the cup final against Man City - he ran the midfield ... if he can reproduce that kind of display consistently he will be well worth that fee ...
According to reports today deal for Maloney isn't going ahead. Rob Tanner @RobTannerMerc 11m11 minutes ago The deal to bring Shane Maloney to LCFC has fallen through. Failure to agree terms with Maloney. City moving on to other targets. #lcfc
Seen more pound signs than he thinks he´s worth a week maybe ? prem club wants me ? ask for silly money. IF true then good that it has fallen through, I´m glad. Same as the Defoe saga.
Also glad he his not coming, he as no interest in the foxes just money, better he goes and gets lost in Yankee land.
2 players for Preston look decent tonight, a winger called Paul Gallagher just set up a goal for someone called Jermaine Beckford
Maloney is a silly, silly, boy. Offered a chance to return to the prem, would actually play in a team that has a decent chance of staying up and ruins it for himself. Stupid.
I actually dont think that Gallagher would have been the worst option to bring on for us but im not going to open that one up for us again!
I'm with you on that ... but only if Glady's the tea lady's irritable bowel syndrome has unfortunately coincided with her time of the month ... in any other scenario Glady's shades it ... by a country mile .... Gally has just about found his level ... and I wish him well ...
Gally was a good player for the club for 2 and a half season but then declined and never recovered. He scored some great goals and gave us some good memories but both have moved on. I don't see how he could get a game ahead of Schlupp, Knockaert or Mahrez now
