Sounds like Everton might be interested in hiring Steve Hitchen who resigned from his post with us today.
He's not actually as bad as his recent track record suggests, but the decision making between him and the hierarchy at our club over the last few years has been abysmal.

Arteta only stripped him of his captaincy after they fell out and PEA spat the dummy & started acting up.
As I said in an earlier post, watched him a few times at Ajax and was very impressed ... even put a tenner on him for first goalscorer (might have been against Spurs) which netted me close to a ton as I recall ... he is certainly not a defensive midfielder in the mould of Fred or McTominey ... I would have been happy if we'd got him on loan.
