When we have had money to spend it was wasted on the wrong players. Even now our strike force of non-goal scorers was signed off by SLF. The man is teflon-coated as far as the club are concerned. He is the route cause we are in trouble and he of all people should know how to spot a striker. We now have no money a strikers who can't score.
Are you on a wind up?

Only good thing I can say about this deafening silence with just over 24 hrs to go is..... No one appears to be leaving......Robinson, Luongo, Smithies, Freeman....even Ned.... Mind you if any of them go now.....the words bare bones jump out at me...

I am a glass full sort of person

Cairney has re-signed, so the Freeman to Fulham suggestion has gone away.

So, exciting last day of the transfer window...I doubt it. Can't imagine anything exciting will come of today, so on the bright side, there won't be the temptation to stay up late on a work night to listen for news.

Sorry if it's been mentioned already, but Remy sent on loan from Las Palmas to Getafe. Another player who made a fatal career move by moving to Loftus Road.

Sorry to disagree Dave....his fatal move was definitely moving away for big bucks and the bright Chelsea lights, rather than staying and clocking up the goals and confidence with us. Another 6 months to a year.... QPR would have been in a different place and so would have Remy.... Another reason I hate Chelsea

Spot on Beth. Always a good chance that he was going to be a bench warmer at Chelsea. That together with being injury prone meant his career in England didn't take off.

No signings and dwindling support from team for manager... the second half of the season doesn't look so bright. Something has to change otherwise we're in the dogfight. I still think there are 3 teams worse than us but this is probably not going to be pretty.

The only change I can imagine might be managerial?

Club looking to offload Shodipo on loan. Disappointed at that. I really thought the guy had potential and would like to have seen him again this season.

Don't be sorry to disagree, particularly as you are right. Moving to Chelsea was fatal for him. I'd still say he did make an error joining us, as really he was too good for us. He should have been snapped up by a steady mid-table Premiership side, where he could have notched up his goal count and established himself in the Premiership. He could then have avoided a move to Chelsea.

Hope this doesn't mean that Palace are looking at Smities?

Polacek's Palace move is off

Goalkeeper Martin Polacek move from Polish club Zaglębie Lubin to Crystal Palace is off. The player was expected to sign today, but the club are now looking at an alternative.

Remember if anyone asks Smithies is rubbish:emoticon-0148-yes:

Totally agree Beth. I was a massive Remy fan. I remember watching him playing for Lens years before he joined us and thought this lad is going to be class. He was linked to Arse and I believe Spurs. So the day we signed him I knew we had a special player. Sadly for all parties the money of Chelsea lured him to the dark side. If he had stayed and got on with the job his goals may have saved us. Really sad about this one

It's funny how times have changed...
I remember taking a day off work and had TV/Radio/PC all going and reporting on here with Watford/Norway? bringing up to date news transfer news for those at work who couldn't get the information.
Today I can't even be bothered with it.
Here is a memory though...

Imagine Remy and Austin up front with Vargas playing in the 10 role and Isla as a proper wing back, should have been plenty to be able to stay up...........if only :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Agree mate but while Ian continues with this baffling no width tactic then the chances for players like Shodipo are zero.
