Alli and Martial no way but wouldn't refuse Dzeko for 6 months.

January will go like the managerial hunt went.. They'll be in for every big name available, but will get rejected by every one of them.

They'll manage to get the best of the worst

Yeah it's the priority position. I'd be happy with Philips, just can't see Leeds selling to us. Botman, yes.

The other stories are just agent bollocks. Martial? Like we need another lazy Frenchman with no end product. Dzeko at 35? Did Rafa come back as manager?

I think it could snowball, as has been said elsewhere - you sign Trippier, then Digne. All of a sudden other players are like "ok, they do mean business" and Botman - Lille aren't big - could turn up. Then a lot of eyes are on it and then getting that marquee - Philips, Coutinho, Vlahovic - and the floodgates open.

Alli is hard to call as he has been **** for 3 seasons now. If Howe says he can get a tune out of him I'll support him. Martial? What position does he actually play?

Maybe, maybe not. Definitely not, according to every Man U fan I know.

Ideally they need three on day one of a decent level. As I say, all three of those defenders will make the club far more appealing to midfielders and attackers.

I can't see much happening too early unfortunately. Clubs and players hold out for better options and offers

Don't know but there is a couple of Spurs player I would like in Doherty or Sessegnon, unfortunately Conte likes the latter so that won't happen.

I hate to break it you, mate, but we do not have the luxury of time. We need players in no later than the Cambridge FA Cup tie to give them a week before Watford. I don't give a **** how difficult it is; our squad is absolutely ****ing rancid and there is much, much better throughout the Championship and Euro leagues.

    GK - average, crap backup.
    RB - average, crap backup.
    CB - pure crap.
LB - average, injured, NO backup.
    CDM - absent.
CM - below average, dreadful backup.
    AM - nothing.
    LM/LW - ok-ish.
    CF - ok, no backup.
    RM/RW - ok-ish, below average backup.

Desperately need 1 or 2 CB's, LB and RB (new back four, basically). Could upgrade GK easily (Dean Henderson). Desperately need decent DM. Also need to upgrade CM. Depending on formation, we have no attacking midfielders of note. CF is ok but nothing behind him. We could upgrade right and left midfield easily.

Anyone saying it's difficult isn't looking at it right. Anyone suggesting we need to be playing vs Watford with the likes of Clark, Ritchie, Hayden, Longstaff, etc., if off their ****ing Xmas tree.

We're unbeaten vs the bottom half more or less. I'm sure we'll do better this time around.

    Relegation isn't a big deal

I fail to comprehend your logic. It's difficult to attract players because we're in danger of relegation, but actually getting relegated is ok?

I agree with DPP, we aren't getting relegated because I think/hope our owners share my opinion.

I'm just not too concerned if we go down because the future is inevitable. Newcastle United has been bought by the PIF not the Venky brothers.

Being unbeaten makes it sound positive. Reality is we have won 1 game all season: that’s horrific.

Relegation isn’t the end of the world and I said months ago it would give us a chance to clear out the crap and plan more longer term.

I am intrigued with this January transfer window. It will in my opinion show us what the new owners are all about.
