Not being funny - If Liverpool had been offered the £20m-£25m we're paying for Wood they would have screen shot the **** out the offer and used it as blackmail for the next 20 years.

• Chris Wood usually gets 10+ goals per season (Burnley stats since 2017). That's on par with Callum Wilson. Is that standard too low for you?
• We haven't got a fit striker - which was why we lost on Saturday.
• He's great in the air and will get on the end of crosses from Trippier /Richie / ASM / Murphy /Fraser.
• This acquisition weakens a direct rival, who are mired in debt and won't buy big to replace him.
