I suppose if Turner is likely to be out for a while then getting cover in on loan makes sense if only to prevent Seb think that he is undroppable. I would hope that were Yobo to come to us it would not put Bennett further down the pecking order as I think he is doing OK at the minute and I am convinced that he will develop into a top class centre half if given the opportunity to do so.

I feel that unless Howson gets back soon we will have no creatitiy in the midfield as the rift between Wes and CH is unlikely to heal so I really hope that CH and the board have a midfielder lined up for today/tomorrow.

Regardless and despite the fact that we are playing pretty poorly at the minute I think that we will have enough to limp over the line this season and hopefully strengthen with one or two marque signings (by our own standards) in the Summer.

The way I see it is that this/last season we have given the squad more depth and the objective for the Summer is to start to work on significantly improving the first XI By then we will know if Fer and RvW are the players we all hoped they would be and our younger players (of whom we have many) will all have another years experience and hopefully continue to develop.

I may be crazy but I am optimistic about the future as I can see the beginnings of a good squad of young players coming through which is the key to a club like ours sustaining premier league football.

Fulham are looking to strenghthen - they have signed kvist from stuttgart, a defensive mid, a decent signing. also looking at swapping holtby for berbatov.

the question is though, with the worst defence in the football league, don't they need defenders?
 
More reports that Swansea have missed out on Tom Ince and are now looking at Pilks again.

The BBC say they have "withdrawn" their interest in Ince. Not surprised really; who wants to sign someone who touts himself round as many clubs as he can in the undignified way Ince has? <ok>

agreed. what happened to the monaco interest? seems to be one of the most over-rated players ever. i'm sure redmond is as good.
