Think there was rumours about that fulham were after Dzsudzsak, can't say I know much about him really.
My favourite player. Doing well at Dinamo but was phenomenal at PSV. Was gutted to see him go to Russia. Then again, I don't want to see him at Fuham! Was linked to Liverpool last year.
Yeah, I'd heard £24m initially, but then later reports had a much lower price. Fantastic player, although by the sounds of it his attitude isn't all there, quite a party-type, less of a hard worker. If he was performing like he can though, I'd take one player who didn't work as hard as the rest. Dzudzsak in the Prem would be great, so long as it wasn't at a relegation rival!
Jonas Gutierrez tweets goodbye to Newcastle... https://twitter.com/footysays/status/422270435212812290 https://twitter.com/elgalgojonas/status/422142911414042624
Sorry up here is you guys are favorites to sign him, QPR are also interested. Not a surprise to see him leave, he'd run his course here. Will be a good squad player for you guys.
Got to be us, nobody else is even rumoured to have an interest, unless he's going back to Argentina. Distinctly underwhelmed with that if it turns out to be true. Pilks is meant to be back in full training tomorrow, Redmond and Murphy can both play wide left too. Our problems are in the middle of the park. Looking at the Newcastle board, seems some of them suspect he had a clause in his contract where if he played again he got a contract renewal, on higher wages, so Ashley stopped Pardew playing him. If that is the case, I suspect the transfer fee we're paying is minimal, but wages probably aren't. The telegraph reckon he was on £50k p/w when Newcastle were last relegated. If he's better in possession than Murphy and Redmond I can kind of see the use of him, but not convinced yet.
Pilkington may be back, but how long will it be before he is out again? He breaks down too often so bringing in a player.of Gutierrez' quality and experience makes sense.
Not sure about Gutierrez. Hughton has a knack for buying Argentinians and then never playing them.....
If he's match fit and up for it then I think he'd be an excellent signing on the cheap. They don't give away twenty-odd caps for Argentina for nothing, and the extra competition could be the kick up the backside Snodgrass needs as he's not looked anything like the player of last season this year. Good business if you ask me
Slightly bizarre rumour from twitter. Apparently QPR are close to signing Alex Herman for £3.2m, after ourselves, Cardiff, Swansea and West Ham pulled out. The only problem I've got with this rumour is I can find literally nothing online to suggest Alex Herman is a footballer, never mind where he plays or where he'd be coming from. Very odd! More BS from twitter suggests that we've bid £14m for Leandro Damiao after his move to Santos collapsed. The same source reckons Charlie Adams is about to move to Spurs for £15m.
Gutierrez - I have read that he is a winger. Also read he is a CB. Also read he is attacking MF. Which one is he?
Left winger, definitely not a CB, someone was getting confused. Not sure if he's ever played in a central attacking role or not, but if he has it's certainly not his primary position.
Sky sports reporting this morning we are close to signing him for £3 m? Also that the Swans want Pilks? Maybe that's why we're after him as a replacement?
Couldn't agree more. Apparently, he's travelling to Norwich today. I'd rather Pilks stayed - when he's fit!!!
The mirror broke the Pilks story saying he has been sidelined by CH. They must of overlooked the fact he's been injured!
That's bs we won't sell pilks McNally has stated we won't sell key players We need to strengthen in the left side But 3m wow, that's a lot for him
