Bristol City set for cash windfall if Newcastle United deal is completed https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...ndfall-if-newcastle-united-deal-is-completed/
Bristol City could be set for cash windfall if Newcastle United sign Adam Webster from Brighton and Hove Albion United’s Championship rivals Bristol City could be set for an unexpected cash windfall this month after Newcastle United were linked with their former defender Adam Webster, now of Brighton and Hove Albion. Webster cost Brighton £20m but Bristol retained a sell-on clause on their former defender – and if he moves to Newcastle for big money this window, City will be set for a cash windfall. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...t-windfall-if-newcastle-sign-defender-3541582
Why go to Newcastle who are going to be in the championship next year, better to wait and hope a PL club come in for him.
Should this speculation come true I think they'll stay up and his huge increase of salary will ease any gamble.
Club confirms talks with Bristol City over agreement for teenager https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/club-confirms-talks-with-bristol-city-over-agreement-for-teenager/
Good to see the policy that the club set a few years ago of searching for young talent and bringing them through is still going strong. Bringing these young kids in and loaning them to lower divisions to get them battle-ready has been a great success with Pring, Scott and Semenyo recently, and before that Vyner, Bakinson, Reid, Bryan etc. More now than ever we need to find any possible gems early, as buying them later is not as easy financially. We have all blasted the club and the owner for things they have gotten wrong over the last few years, but this is one area we seem to have got right over the past 4-5 years. Long may it continue.
A little rumour to cause concern from the sun? WAR GAME Neil Warnock, 73, in line for managerial return with Cardiff and Bristol City interested in veteran manager https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17465339/neil-warnock-manager-return-cardiff-bristol-city/
'Why would we help them?' Bristol City boss sends Cardiff City and Swansea City blunt Nahki Wells transfer message https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/why-would-help-them-bristol-22921687
It’s a strange one, if he’s struggling with scoring, not sure why it would be helping them!! Plus it would free up some funds for us..
its a vicious circle - he’s not scoring because he never plays - but he’s not picked because he’s not scoring!!!
Maybe the fear is that he might remove his head from his effort and maybe even score for one of two teams below us in the league.
He is not picked because 16 goals in 80 appearances is shocking for a 5mil striker + we have 3 strikers who are better and scoring now there is a modicum of supply for them.
