Too good for us Valley. Sorry if that offends anyone but he is at the club he is at now because they are always in some continental competition, so another one we might be looking at but destined for a club like Everton.
Unfortunately we don't yet have the finances to back up our ambition, but if we pray and remain in the Prem for another two seasons with the stadium expansion underway (unlikely given the council situation) then we may be in a position to offer the odd player £50,000 to £60,000. It would be then that we could poach Euro quality players from other leagues that desire to play in the bigger domestic leagues.
Adrian Ramos was a really good shout; http://www.7amkickoff.com/2014/how-...ramos-isis-not-the-right-forward-for-arsenal/
Can we get Tatey back in case any of our defence incur any brick related injuries ? good GK cover as well Everybody...'we all dream of a team of alan tates, a team of....' oh nevermind !
The guy is absolute class and in our price range. He's very skillful and gives us real options upfront. Different from bony.
Reports circulating that we will sign David Ngog; http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-ready-move-bolton-6536329? http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...triker-David/story-20473305-detail/story.html
He is not inspiring is he...but he is cheap and available. Nobody in the Premier League is going to help us out so we will be looking at foreign based players, young unwanted players from elite clubs (Ibrahim) or players from the lower leagues. I imagine the way it works is like this; - which Championship players are available this window - of those do any have Prem experience or any pedigree (U-21 caps or coached at big clubs when young) - are they cheap (as they will only be back up) - are they hungry (have a point to prove) That leaves you with a small pool of players that might be suitable. Some calls are put in to enquire about availability and price while we mull it over. In the meantime the club that has received the call (and has a player that might leave for free in the summer for example...or sniffs the chance of selling for enough money to fund a transfer or 2 they have lined up, another example) contacts the press and as many clubs as possible to encourage an auction. Putting in a phone call re:Ngog doesn't mean we're interested at all, just that he is one of many that is being considered, just in case.
Chalk this one down to Huw and the board or Curtis, whoever. Michael Laudrup will have had no knowledge of Ngog. Why should he? If he, personally, is actually going to act on this, it can only come from advice given by someone else at the club.
Think it was Sousa who had to ask players about Craig Beattie when he arrived. Having never seen him before!
