Daily Star rumour this....supposedly us and Newcastle want this Dutch goalkeeper for £3m; http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...face-competition-for-goalkeeper-Robbin-Ruiter Doesn't ring true to me but he does seem like a good buy for someone. Cove, if you're reading, enlighten us? Thanks.
Fulham to table £3m bid for Neil Taylor rumour.... http://hammyend.com/index.php/2014/01/fulham-preparing-taylor-offer/?
Lots of reports claiming that Hamburg have beaten ourselves and Liverpool to the loan signing of Ola John
Remember last summer's back-up striker target, young Belgian, Michu Batshuayi? Apparently Everton and Benfica are the front runners to sign him this window or next.
Robbin Ruiter crossed over from the Jupiler League one and a half years ago where he did amazing things. Had a good start at FC Utrecht, showed class from time to time but to be honest. He's no Tim Krul. He is tall, a giant to be accurate. With his 1m 96cm, he is the tallest goalie in the Eredivisie. But even with that height, he still has some good reflexes. But the draw backs show from time to time. He is slow to come of his line and rarely rushes out because of it. But with him, you can forget about high crosses, he catches them all, or punches them out. For the Eredivisie he is a great goalie, but I have my doubts for a move abroad, mainly due to his speed.
Cheers Cove! Much appreciated An example of why not 606 is superior to sites that only cater to the fans of one club.
Whats Litmenin(probably spelt that wrong , use to play for ajax and liverpool) up to cove . Super player , just wondering if he's coaching or something , special player imo .Getting my doubts if anyone is coming in, which is fine by me because I think Laudrup will leave in the summer and I don't want the next manager stuck with someonehe doesn't really want
Jari Litmanen? Still plays football but has been injured lately, might return to Ajax in the next couple of years at the academy to start his coaching career.
Fantastic player , really enjoyed watching him play . Just read that Fulham are preparing a bid for Taylor . Huge error in judgement on our part if Taylor leaves
given our threadbare squad we can't afford to have anyone leave. Taylor should be getting more games in my opinion
I agree he should at least be a second choice second RB as well as LB! And there are rumors that Fulham are interested, which I hope doesn't happen.
We're in for Middlesboro's Rhys Williams apparently, we've been linked to him for a couple of seasons now...£1.5m being quoted in the press. Name: Rhys Williams Age: 25 Height: 6ft 2 Position: Centre-back, Right-back and Defensive Midfield. This move would make sense, relatively cheap, presumably he would jump at the chance and has versatility in areas of the pitch where we require more depth.
There's also an article out there on the web linking us to, much sought after, AIK starlet Alexander Milosevic He is a Swedish (of Serbian extraction) youth international centre-half. 21 years old and 6ft 3. Arsenal, Liverpool and Fulham are also interested, allegedly.
Reports circulating that Tom Ince has put in a transfer request following a meeting with Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston where his father Paul was sacked. This may be true but Everton seem to be the favourites now for his signature...despite already having signed Irish winger Aidan McGeady this window.
I think this one is a serious bid loveof the game, spanish midfielder scoring a goal every 3 games almost . Swans have been quiet on this one butI think there doing the full court press to land him.
