It’s not though. He was on 2.5yr contract and has been with us 1year so his current book value is 15million. They are paying the 5mill depreciation for the half year he is with them so if they do buy him for 15mill we will report a 5mill profit.

I hate to say it but I think Gordon is a good player. He's a proper windup merchant and skilled at diving, so gets few friends away from Goodison.
But there's something about him which suggests that he can progress to be a decent player.

I doubt he'll be wanted here though.

Gordon shows glimpses of talent in a team that is absolutely dreadful. He's still young so his bad habits can be trained out, think it's one of those signings that could really work or be absolute ****

The issue Everton have with Gordon is they have made a 21 year old the focal point of their entire squad.

He's the only one at Everton who carries the ball forward, they signed Dwight McNeil to back him up ffs.
