Another 2 windows with say another 3/4 QUALITY additions like Trippier, Bruno, Botman and Isak + Wilson, ASM, Pope and Joelinton surrounded by players like Schar, Burn, Targett, Almiron and we'll be pushing on upwards. A DM/CM, WM, and CB and the squad will look glorious by the start of next season!

Bruno - DM - Joelinton
RW - Isak - ASM

Subs - Dubz, Burn, Schar, Krafth, Willock, Shelvey, Almiron, Anderson, Wilson

Reserve - Darlow, Lacselles, Manquillo, Lewis, Longstaff, Fraser, Wood

They have done well with the signings so far in regards to a long term plan. Pope at 30 for a keeper is a good age, Botman, Isak and Bruno all under 25 so long term thinking, Burn 30 and Targett 26 have a 2/3 years at their peak left. Trippier at 32 (in 11 days time) is the only one who isn't a "long" term but a leader with experience and first through the door who could do another season or two at the top table.

If that is true that's the DM sorted for 10 years! Looks good and would settle well with the Samba Boys already at the club.

So long as we show progress, we will be fine. January will be a good indicator. Our first team is very good but we still have a very big drop off to the bench/reserves. We have been treated like the poor relative, by fat Mike, for well over a decade, and sadly, this process will take time.

No relegation worries and a top 10 finish is a big improvement.

I agree it's frustrating, but we need to remember that we don't know what's happening under the surface and what was really on offer now in comparison to what nufc have been indicated will be on offer in January or next summer..

Sometimes it's worth hanging fire for a longer term gain.
 
So we can rule out Diaby but this player has been linked also..

If we have any ambition we'd pay up to 60m for Maddison like. Can play CM/CAM/RM/RW

Exactly what we need. More goals, assists, crosses and set piece expert besides Trippier.

Great interview from Maddison after the game last night. No idea what is going on with Southgate. He's producing every week and seems like a good lad. I'm certain he must have upset him somehow though.

It's clear that Maddison would be a marquee signing.

I'm looking forward to young Kuol joining in - he definitely already has a good Youtube video! And at such a young age.

We dodged a couple of bullets last January - and hope we're much more ready to pounce this time round. Hopefully we'll be safely in the top half in the league knocking on the doors of Europe. We'll be in a far stronger position to complete with the big lads than we were last season, when we already performed minor miracles in the transfer window considering our first half of the season league form.

In January I believe that we'll smash it, though I'm not going to read all the stories that'll be rammed in our direction.
