How different do you think our approach will be in the transfer window if we’re still in the top 6 when it comes around as opposed to if we were comfortably mid-table? I hope we look at it in the way we should have looked at the summer transfer window after we finished 5th under Pardew and take the opportunity of building on our momentum and position and pulling out all the stops to bring in one or two top quality first team players. We could really cement a top 8 finish at worst if we can improve our squad and have better players than Longstaff, Shelvey, Fraser and Murphy either starting or on the bench. We needed that ideally before this season started but I hope our owners don’t take our position into account from the aspect of the players that have got us there…I’m sure they won’t. Exciting times ahead regardless tho!
The most pressing squad improvements are upgrades for Murphy and Longstaff. Ok, ASM is out injured, but he often is. Anderson may be ready to take his chance. Fraser should stay. Wood could be moved on.
Signing a winger and a central midfielder are rumoured to be our two Jan window priorities... Fits nicely.
I am way more relaxed about it. We’ll just keep upgrading regardless of position. I mean we’ve got some serious crap playing for us yet we are sixth. Why? Because Bruno, Botman, Trippier are making it happen. We will be unstoppable. Not sure what any of you know about KSA and UAE. It goes like this - the UAE is seven “states” each with its own ruler. They have lots of money independently but the wealth has limits. I’ll bet nobody knew that the Burj Khalifa was named after the Emirate of Abu Dhabi because he loaned the Emirate of Dubai the money? So it’s a closed shop of limited (though vast) wealth. The population of UAE is smaller than Saudi and like I say the wealth is split seven ways. Saudi is different. They have oil. They have a single ruler. They have Neom. They have PIF. The wealth is more or less unlimited. For all the noise of FFP rules and such we all need to be aware that we are going to be bigger than PSG and City. The wealth of Saudi, what that place becomes in the next decade, will absolutely dwarf Dubai. It’s mental. I was just in the Middle East at a conference in Dubai and everybody knows it.
The beauty about the wealth and spend is it only really affects FFP. But the infrastructure is where the club can develop with endless money. Howe has said on more than one occasion that they have massive plans. Not big. Massive. That means over time we will just get bigger and bigger. Our commercial streams will ramp up. Our income in 5 years will match the top clubs in the world and we will have an incredible football club in terms of facilities. Stadium. Training ground. Match experience. We will never have go worry about the Ashley years. If anything they will just make us enjoy and appreciate it even more.
I just wanna seethe plat club bogs with solid gold pans and sheets of £50 notes there to wipe my arse on.

Haha Have you ever read a more outdated lazy piece as that! I think they have finally woke up and smelt the cheese
The stories today: James Maddison - he's not going to sign a new contract with Leicester. Angelo Gabriel - a 17-year-old sensation at Santos with 92 first team games to his name already - some saying we've already bid £25m Mykhaylo Mudryk - a winger from Shakhtar Donetsk, presently playing in the Champions League.
