The problem is that if only 2 fans complain you will still say it as if it had been the whole fan base. You fail to put context or proportion into the comment.

Helps if you said, for example, ‘some of the fan base’ or ‘ a small minority of fans’ or whatever is more close to what you are actually saying.

Window is near over and we have filled a gap.

Comes back down to pure football again now and the players responsibility.
 
Gordon apparently handed in a transfer request to come to Newcastle.

That's why he was at the ground the other day.
