A few more rumours currently about.... Peterborough are going to sign De La Torre which could have some truth in it as Maddison sounds like he is off to Charlton so could be a replacement. Fulham are apparently interested in Kongolo of Huddersfield who plays centre back or left back, he was highly rated and a big signing impressing in their premier league stint but has fallen out of favour and is not playing... looking at Huddersfield forums they seem to think he is very talented but has lost effort and enthusiasm since relegation and doesn’t want to be there. The Kongolo rumours appear quite strong which could mean there are legs in the Bryan to Watford rumours as it would be a replacement! Daniel Amarty of Leicester has been linked again but maybe a recycled rumour from the summer, a defensive midfielder/ centre back who was highly rated and impressed when given a chance but then suffered a serious knee injury and was out for a year and hasn’t played since. There are a few others Downes of Ipswich and some 16 year old Spanish kid but they are more for the future. Bettinelli not playing against Villa and not in the squad in Hull suggests he may well be off this month.
Brendan Rogers said yesterday that Amarty was to have another operation, so unfortunately this is very unlikely. The hunch about Betts leaving seems to stack up, seems similar to Stockdale's departure if memory serves me right. Bryan being on the bench yesterday may also align with him leaving, I'd like to think not though.
Not rumours but thought I would mention possible strikers we could get in on loan if Mitro is out for an extended period.. My two choices would be Glenn Murray or Andre Gray I think both would do very well for us other options are Vydra - has always scored in the championship Nkietah - the young Arsenal lad who was recalled from Leeds as he wasn’t playing.. scored 4 in 20 for Leeds but only 4 starts I would explore Kodjia from Villa as well
Reports that Fulham turned down €12 million from Lyon for Seri and then rejected a improved offer of €13 million. Apparently we are looking for €18 million ( £15.4 million) which is his buy out clause in the Galatasaray loan contract... I expect this is all to do with ffp and we have a figure we need to try and get.
I think Glenn Murray is the exact type we need, a big physical striker up there to replace what we are losing in Mitro. I don't like the idea of loaning in other teams youth players, we should be using our own academy. We have players like Taylor Crossdale, Abraham and Stansfield, this could be an opportunity for them to get some game time.
A few more snippets today... reminder that these are just rumours I have found around the web I’m passing on and should be taken mainly with a pinch of salt.. Jordan Archer a free agent goalkeeper is having a medical today, this sounds like it is happening and suggests Betts is off, Archer was Millwalls keeper when we were last in the championship. The Kongolo from Huddersfield rumours are getting stronger and it appears there might be something in this, if we do sign him it could mean the Watford may be in for Bryan with apparently Southampton showing an interest as well.
As mentioned yesterday the Kongolo from Huddersfield rumours appear the strongest and it could be argued that they were strengthened today as Lincoln City confirmed they have turned down a bid from Huddersfield for there left back!
Fulham have completed the free signing of goalkeeper Jordan Archer, he has 144 championship games and adds a bit of experience to or goalkeepers, I don’t expect him to get games barring injuries but with Betts likely off it would have left us with only Rodak and Norman
12:17 KONGOLO COMPLETES DEAL Fulham have completed the deal to sign Terence Kongolo on loan from Huddersfield. The defender undertook his medical with the west London club on Wednesday. Looks like Bryan will be on the move very soon now.
For me this raises more questions than it answers. Is Kongolo really a left back? I'm not convinced - he seems like a natural LCB in a back three, but that would mean we need Bryan even more. To let Bryan leave we absolutely have to sign another left back.
I really like the Kongolo signing I think we could be getting a very good player while his stock is low, a quick read shows .... Firstly Kongolo has played at all levels for Holland from u16’s up to four caps for the full national team. He started at Feyenord coming through as a youngster earning a place in the first team and winning the Dutch title. Highly rated Monaco came in and bought him for £13 million pounds. His stint at Monaco saw him get little game time so he moved to premiership Huddersfield impressing in his first season to the point that Huddersfield spent £18 million to make the move permanent. Im not sure what has happened at Huddersfield but he has fallen out with the club and fans and we appear to be getting a very talented player for a very good price £5 million if we choose according to reports.
A few rumours from yesterday Fulham and Brighton are looking into a swap deal between Stefan Johansson and Bissouma. Fulham are interested in Ben Gibson of Burnley Fulham are looking at Conor Goldson of Glasgow Rangers All are just rumours but it’s interesting they are all centre backs!
Cookie, it would look like the rumours are old news stories being re-run or "if it's a center back state Fulham". Scott inferred that our latest recruit Kongolo, was more for center back but can cover other positions. I therefore think we have enough cover with the potential of five already, we can only field 2 or maybe 3 at a time. With only a week and a half to go until the window closes it will be interesting to see where we end up. Unless we have players wanting to leave, I can't see too many incoming's, we have a very good squad already.
Bobby Deal Made Permanent Friday 24 January 2020 17:30 please log in to view this image The Club is delighted to confirm that Bobby Decordova-Reid’s move from Cardiff City has been made permanent. The versatile forward became an immediate fan favourite after initially joining on loan, and he has now committed his future to Fulham until the summer of 2023, with a Club option to extend by a year. “It’s very nice to get it done and dusted,” Bobby told fulhamfc.com. “Now we progress with the season and hopefully there’s big things to come. “Hopefully the fans are happy about it! Now we move on and fight to get promoted.” Tony Khan added: “Bobby has been a real asset for us since he joined in the summer, putting in really strong performances when called on and scoring some important goals. “This was one of the deals I did that was close to the wire on deadline day, and I’m delighted that we managed to get it across the line and now make it permanent, as Bobby’s been great for us and we expect there’s a lot more to come. “Come on, Fulham!”
Extremely happy with this I’m a big fan of his.... it obviously opens up another loan spot which makes me think we will see another signing coming in. Also if we did not gain promotion this season I’m confident we are putting together a squad who will be very competitive in this league beyond this season
The Jota rumours appear to be very strong. He is a very decent player and although we are well stocked in his position I wouldn’t say no. There is a poster on another site who appears well informed and broke the Kongolo deal long before anyone knew about it and he states there are a few deals being worked on, wether they come off or not is a different matter but it sounds like we could be bringing one or two more before tomorrow’s deadline! He also states that Roma have definitely enquired about Christie but does not know what Fulham’s response was Bobby Reid’s permanent signing strongly suggests another loan coming in
BREAKING: Raith Rovers striker Kieron Bowie joins Fulham for £150,000 17 years old one for the future
