Well that's started early! https://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2017/december/godfrey-extended/ https://www.shropshirestar.com/spor...t-shrewsbury-town-for-the-rest-of-the-season/ Ben Godfrey extends his loan from Norwich until the end of the season. What signings do we need and who's going to depart? I believe we won't see Dom Smith again in a Town shirt and AJ Leich Smith is probably staying in Scotland.
Good news about Godfrey. No doubt we will not have heard of any new signings coming in but we trust in Hurst who has got virtually everything right on the signings front since he came here. I suspect Dodds will return to Vale and we will certainly bring in a left back but good wingers and strikers will always be more problematic as everyone will be after them. I expect no 'name' signings but a couple of hungry players from league 2 and a loanee from Norwich (Toffolo?). On the left back position, if we could afford him I would go for Amari Bell from Fleetwood who I think would fit into our team nicely. t
Left back Max Lowe, 20, signs from Derby on loan until the end of the season. Looks good signing as he's already played in championship for them. https://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2018/january/lowe-joins-on-loan/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Lowe
Luke Hendrie, 23, signs on an 18 month deal from Burnley. Defender who's mainly played right back but was playing left back on recent loan. He can also play a defensive midfield role. https://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2018/january/hendrie-joins-town/ https://www.shropshirestar.com/spor...track-on-shrewsbury-town-target-luke-hendrie/ Hurst seems to have been tracking him, however he was on loan to Bradford seemed to do well, but did get some mixed comments as you'd expect. As mentioned he was playing out of his usual position. Best judge Hurst on this.
