Being realistic, If we can keep our players without losing any of our 'better' lads, I'd be happy. I will be extra happy if we cut the driftwood like Caulker. Complete wast of time having him, pay him off and get rid of.
Through to next season and trimming the squads, it's all about balancing the books. And not getting relegated, I'm not sure how we managed to end up in a worse state than before we had money - but here we are. Actually, I do know how, because we are QPR and this is how we do things.
It probably will be as it looks like we'll use it to rest regulars and give Eze and Ingram and probably other youngsters some 1st team experience. Same procedure as every year. But if Ingram looks to be good enough for us, it will give the oportunity to cash in on Smithies if we can. I should think he is good enough for the PL.
He is but I've not been convinced much by Ingram in his few appearances. Bit harsh maybe but if we lose Smithies I think relegation becomes a real possibility. Hold on to our better players. Any of Caulker/Yeni/Goss etc. we can get rid of would be a bonus.
What happened to Goss? Was he not supposed to be the new wonder kid from ManU. Also, what happened to Shodipo. I thought he was pretty good, is he loaned out.
Shodipo is just back from injury, has played for the U23's. Think Goss has played there too recently.
Smithies made another couple of very good saves today. From what the Management says we have to sell if we get a good offer unfortunately. Can't see us getting much for Yeni, Goss or Caulker but maybe we'd get enough for Smithies to keep us the right side of FFP, or being very optimistic, a decent striker.
I don’t think we need to buy that many if possible . We are a WIP so let’s not get carried away Team is competing at last let that grow Love to see Austin on loan of course in this team I maintain our midfield is looking fine and love the Rat Not sure still about Washington that’s my only small gripe. He tries hard but just a shade of composure would be great for him
IF we had Austin we would be at least in the play-offs, but it's just not going to happen (I really wish it were, though).
Is he fit now? We can dream, but the reality is if he were to come to us he probably wouldn't be. Fit that is.
I was hopeful of getting this guy but seems unlikely now he's signed a new contract; http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/42123022 As we are financially screwed either way, let's go all out and offer the buyout fee.
