That's true, of course. If someone did agree a loan deal for him though, QPR would probably let us cancel our loan. After all, QPR just want to send him somewhere where he might stay permanently!

I don't see it happening though...

Edit: Actually now that I think on it, why couldn't we sub-loan him? FIFA consider a loan to be a permanent transfer until the loan expires, so while we couldn't loan him again domestically maybe an international loan could be possible!
 
Because FIFA rules say that you can't sub loan him. Well, they say the decision isn't yours, in any case.

FIFA Regulations on registration and transfer of players, section 10, point 3:

" The club that has accepted a player on a loan basis is not entitled to transfer him to a third club without the written authorisation of the club that released the player on loan, and the player concerned."

The FIFA rules make no distinction between domestic and international loan rules.

And as Harry Redknapp said in his press conference on Monday (about a different matter, but I'm sure it still applies), "nobody does anybody any favours in this game..."

Most of that is what I expected. The domestic/international loan distinction is an FA thing, not a FIFA thing. Honestly, if Milan wanted to take over Taarabt's loan it is in everyone's best interests. We can get another loan, Taarabt goes somewhere else for yet another "fresh start" and QPR send Taarabt somewhere he could potentially put himself in the shop window.

Yet again, though... I just don't see it happening.
 
Apparently it has, and QPR gave approval. AC Milan won't pay a fee however and no player exchange is involved.


"As reported by Italian media today, AC Milan have officialy agreed to bring in on loan Adel Taarabt from Premiership side, Fulham. There have been some meetings during past days between these two clubs, and they've finally agreed on terms."

Lots of tweets saying we've agreed a £12.4m fee for Kostas Mitroglou, with him coming for a medical tomorrow.

Also a couple linking us with Johnny Heitinga, and lots saying William Kvist is in London for a medical as we speak. Kvist is apparently a 28 yr-old Danish midfielder, and the deal looks like a loan.

We could get Kvist on loan and another loan deal. The Taraabt loan was just blocking a domestic-based loan so hopefully we can still get another one in. Possibly Holtby if he's not off back to Germany. Preferably though if we get Kvist our domestic based loan will be Buttner or Taylor.

"Greek 25-year-old explosive striker, Kostas Mitroglou is one step closer to completing his transfer to the English football club Fulham. The “Cottagers” will sign the Greek hitman for 15 million euros.

Greek champions Olympiacos have reached agreement with Fulham on the terms of the transfer and the official announcement that will seal the deal is only a matter of time. Mitroglou is travelling to London for a medical and to sign a lucrative 4-year deal with a salary of 2.5 million euros per year. The Greek international striker has been in superb form this season, leading the scoring table of the Greek Super league with 14 goals. Moreover, Mitroglou’s goals have helped Olympiacos to reach the final 16 of the Champions League, where they face Manchester United.

Fulham made a previous 11 million euro bid for Mitroglou, which was turned down by Olympiacos. But the Cottagers were determined to attract the Greek striker to London, so they offered 14 million euros which it was expected that Olympiacos would accept. However they stood their ground and pushed for 15 million. Fulham agreed and this particular transfer thriller it seems will have a happy ending. Mitroglou was left out of the Olympiacos squad for today’s quarter-final match in the Greek cup against Atromitos, in order that he travel to London for his medical and to sign contracts."

I don't know anything about the fella but his body art is pretty impressive and don't get me started on the beard, its a beauty! Hope he signs, its not confirmed until the fat bird sings.
 
Sky Sports sources understand that Fulham have lodged a joint-bid for Manchester United duo Ryan Tunnicliffe and Larnell Cole. Midfielder Tunnicliffe has spent time on loan at Ipswich this season, while Cole needs game time if he is further his development.

Tunnicliffe is a central midfielder and Cole is a right winger.
 
does this all point to a 4-4-2 formation for the rest of the season? Will post in formation too just to get on everyones nerves!
