Even if both rumours (Hooper & Okaka) are true, I don't think we'd sign both. Even with injuries, how would we expect to accomodate Lambert, Connolly, Guly, Lee, Hooper and Okaka in a 16 man squad? My guessing is that, Cortese being Cortese, he is correctly playing things safe and having a plan B (ie Okaka) should plan A (ie Hooper) fail.
Our targets clearly show our intent whether we get them or not. If we sign another striker, Barney will probably be out in the summer, mainly because he's had no chance to shine. Connolly fit has real class and a nice player to bring on later in the game in order to rest the main strikers (when we are 5.0 up, of course), though there are some limits on squad size I believe.
I find it a bit strange that hooper hasn't come out and said he doesn't want to leave or is happy at Celtic as is the norm when speculation like this happens, I think he is in 2 minds ob what to do IMO so i see this dragging on a bit longer....
I'm not gunna get excited until Hooper himself come out and states he wants the move to the Saints. Unless that happens Celtic are never going to let him go sadly.

Celtic cant stop him going and won't stop him going. It's Lennon who doesn't want him to go, the Celtic board are just waiting for the right fee. It's that simple.
We may just be unsettling him and setting up the board to sell him to someone else. Am always interested to see the type of player we are linked with, but won't get excited unless he signs on dotted line. In a few days time we'll probably have signed a different player and forgotten our earlier targets.
I'm sure Hooper knew we were in for him before Lennon started talking. I didn't mean we were trying to unsettle him..I just meant that offers must make you think about the possibility of moving teams.
Nope sorry, not a clue. I just assumed he would be back in England by now and sign Monday. But it is Cortese so expect the unexpected
