I'd take it in a second too, but say that the fee for Hooper is the £6m that I've seen touted, Connolly would be worth around £300k-£600k (given his age and injury record), 10% of that fee, a negligible amount in the grand scheme of things. I just don't see NA or NC shelling out £5.5m + Connolly for the deal.
If we are going to compete strongly in the premier league we are going to have to shell out here and there. Obviously not go mad but it wouldn't surprise me if we did spend 5 or 6 million on a player in the near future..

You get the impression NC and NA are spending a lot of time on Tadanari so are determined to secure his signature, this also seems to be eating up time that could be used getting other players in.
