Very good for Derby and very good for Forest beffore that. He'd be an excellent signing if he's over his injury.
Forest and Derby fans don't seem to rate him that highly, say he is brilliant on his day but is very much a luxury player and will be very good one in 5 games but the rest of the time is virtually a passenger in the team.
Just because Leicester are leading the way, doesn't mean Sharp will accept their offer. I could see Sharp turning his back on them if one of us top four came in for him, but on lower terms than Leicester, due to the fact that he's more likely to play Premiership next football with any of us than with Leicester. It's why if this story about Leicester offering him £28,000 is correct, I can also see a lot of truth is the story about him willing to accept £20,000 from us, rising to £30,000 upon promotion (accept some way below what Leicester are offering, but with a great chance of soon both earning more than that and playing Premiership football)
Really? Did he specfically mention us, or just "a club". I knew he was capable of chipping in with a few goals from midfield, but it was only after reading the Echo last night that I realised just how many he scored last season - something like 12 in the first half with Derby, and then 15 in the second half with Celtic. That is very, very impressive - even if it is just the one season.
If we are interested in Matt Phillips then I don't see it as good news that he scored another 3 today. It will just make it harder for us to get him!
