I don't think much has change from a week ago to be honest. Saints have left a very healthy offer on the table and said take it or leave it. As a result hooper trying to get a better contract. If Celtic don't accept the offer soon believe we will go for sharp as a back-up.
Hooper had been promised talks over a new contract before we were in for him, and for some reason Celtic withdrew their offer when we got involved. Maybe to stop him using us as a bargaining chip. If you believe the rumours, he's not happy about it, but I don't know if he's unhappy enough to put in a transfer request. Celtic seem intent on keeping him at any rate. Would be interesting if he said he wanted to go, but I don't think that's particularly likely. Fair to say we've put ourselves firmly at the front of the queue to sign him in the summer though.
Never believed that we had gone in again...just media gossip. We would be too far down the line with our next target (if any).
Collins and Sharp most likely. Don't think Hooper starting today means anything though. Then again, maybe Collins is a backup plan and we're going for another CB first...
Collins signing wouldn't exactly inspire me personally, it's an area I don't feel we are lacking in now Jaidi is back fit (great backup) then Fonte, Hooiveld & Martin who have all done well when played
