Fair enough, he's pretty big (tall at least) so I assumed he was Wyke backup. Not sure how much we need wingers we're quite well stocked.

The goals he gets on the video clip mostly come from good delivery into the box from out wide, as with most strikers, the service will need to be good.

If we're looking in Scotland I'd prefer us to splash out for Nisbet who I've seen a few times and looks a player to me, but as you can gather I know bugger all about this lad.

Centre forward I think, mainly. Has played left and right in a front three as well.

Playing for a struggling side so got to take that into account re: goals.

We might see potential in him.

Edit: Could Nisbet be the main target and we're showing Hibs (and Nisbet) that we have got other options?

I take it Kimpioka and Curry are not in Johnson's eyeline atm?

Could be, also could be a replacement for Graham if we can get him airlifted out of the club. Nisbet for Grigg and Stewart for Graham might be the plan and fit in the budget. We could certainly do with at least three senior strikers if both Grigg and Graham are shuffling off.

What a couple of days it could be coming up! Grigg off, Graham off, takeover announced and beat Gillingham......is that all too much to ask. <party>

That would be all our birthday celebrations put together just as a warm up.

OK You have a choice. You can only have 3 of those 4 you picked.
Grigg, Takeover and 3 points is what I would pick

I feel like I'm going to be an old man before the takeover is announced but yeah that all sounds pretty realistic doesn't it? The new people behind the scenes are presumably good at getting things done.

Interestingly, but maybe coincidentally, Ross County in the last few minutes have announced a new striker signing.

    Gil,
Think it's just LJ hasn't seen owt of Kimpi due to him being injured and Curry is a big risk at his age bearing in mind we need someone to take the weight off Charlie's shoulders in the goal scoring department.
Someone with a bit of goalscoring record is a good idea as long as the contract isn't too long which would hold back these youngsters.

I think the Grigg deal is already sorted but we are waiting on signing a replacement before sanctioning it. By LJ's comments in today's press conference it sounds like Grigg would rather play elsewhere than here

    Ross Stewart feels inevitable

Think LJ telling the media today that Grigg won't go unless we bring somebody in was his coded way of telling Ross County that we won't just pay silly money for him.

The fact Ross County have already signed his replacement today suggests they expect to sell him and will likely accept less in a few days, especially as he could leave for free in summer.

FWIW I know little about him - his scoring record seems quite poor so its hard to get excited but I trust Speakman and Johnson. Would love to know who's doing the data analysis on this mind, seeing we haven't publicly appointed anybody in recruitment. perhaps we are using a consultancy
