It had been reported that the striker’s former club Wigan Athletic, had been close to agreeing a deal for his services.

However, it is now understood that the Latics have been unable to complete a deal for Gelhardt, due to a looming embargo.

They really are screwed if they have to rely on the dross already on the books to stay up

Nice to see virtually all of the above in and around the team , we haven’t signed many non players like we used to

And as we know, when you’re a basket case that long - an immediate return to the premier league is unlikely after going down.

Geldharts not the answer for this team of ours in scoring.. All of the times I've watched him and its been a few now, he never looks like a natural goal scorer. He will never score the goals in number everyone wants him to. I'd settle for the lad from Belgium or the boy from Brighton over Geldhart. It also shows Geldharts ambition by going back to Wigan if true.
