Start of the season I would be happy with 15th. Expected this division to be a LOT better than it is.
Having said that, the leap to the PL is massive and we are not ready for it

Top 10 finish will be a superb return given where we finished last year, the injuries and the little baldy scotch twat chasing the money

Next year would (with the right recruitment) be a promotion push
Spot on absolutely this

Reading some on here mentioning going up etc, and was wondering if we did sneak up this year, yes the squad in my opinion not reqdybyet another year together, but surely we would make some good coin on top of tv rights etc and promotion, from a lucrative sponsor deal.
Wonder if that's when the likes of the stadium, academy, shirts etc would get a sponsor deal that's been muted around.

The flipside of promotion (if we all agree that the football side of things would be too big a leap) would be that the finances available are out of this world and even 1 season there would give us an advantage over 23 other teams in the Championship should we go back down.....

That's how I see it mate. I cant see why being given over 100m is a negative.
If we come down we will be a much stronger force to go again

Don't think anyone would disagree, but the matchday experience would be a painful one. Great for the long term, but short term would be hard to watch

Having said that, these players might just surprise us all

Wigan lad and Wigan fan. Might want to go back and try and help save them. He didn't want to leave when he did. Only went because Wigan needed the money to survive.

If that's the case then it's a done deal. Will play every week at Wigan

Depends if he backs himself or does a Broadhead - he will get less playing time here. Does he back himself to force his way into the team like Amad, Hume and Alese have?
He's got to, he's been in and around Leeds first team, closer than Broadhead was to Evertons.
I'm sure Leeds would want him to have self belief and back himself.

Could do but I reckon Leeds would want him here for his long term career development. He needs to think of what's best for himself not Wigan.

And in less positive youth news, young striker Jude Soonsup-Bell, who turns 19 tomorrow, is set to leave the club this summer this month, as per a report last week. He had worked himself up to the fringes of the first-team and even made his senior debut last season in the League Cup, but has fallen by the wayside for some reason.

His contract is up at the end of the season, but he has “decided to bring forward his departure”. We have made similar accommodations to youngsters in the past, so if that’s his choice, we will likely facilitate it. But it is still an unfortunate development for a young player who certainly had (and still has) some promise — and is apparently leaving because of the familiar “first-team pathways” reason.

Good luck, JSB!

Sure I read exactly the same post earlier?

Yeh people need to ignore the Soonsup-Bell thing. Nobody, nowhere has linked him to us. He's just leaving his club. The same way Messi might be.

We ain't signing either of them.

I mean its absolutely mental but I'm dead excited about us signing a player who's never played a first team game.

(Papa Johns for West Ham U21s only half counts)
