ABERDEEN are amongst a number of clubs who are interested in a loan move for Sunderland’s Bailey Wright.

Aberdeen have other English and European defensive options on the go, knowing that they face competition for the centre half. Pittodrie head of recruitment Darren Mowbray is hoping that the fact his brother, Tony, is Sunderland manager can help him get a deal over the line.

The Sunderland boss is set to let Wright, who can also fill-in at right back, go but nothing will happen before this weekend. Wright, 30, came through the youth ranks of Preston and has also had a spell at Bristol City. https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co...r.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar

Well I’m assuming we will see another CB coming in if Wright is away.

If were prepared to let BW go out on loan , there must be an incoming CB I would suspect...Heck of a time to let him go.

I’d be ok with this, Wright is fine as a backup but gets done for pace whenever he is in the team

More than halfway through this window and what have we done. Loaned out a promising midfielder. I hope we know what we are doing.

In the words of Atticus Finch - its not time to worry yet
Some people will always start panicking if we haven't signed 7 players the day the transfer window opens, I thought the last couple of transfer windows would have shown people there's no rush and the recruitment team are actually doing a decent job but seems negativity seems to be some people's favourite pastime

Anyone for the "Good early business" days of Roberto De Fanti?
