For clarity - nobody, me included had a pop at anybodies daughter. Chunk misunderstood that I was talking about Bombshell and chose to be offended about some words I used.

Regulars, old and new, call me whatever the **** you want but I’ll remind the lot of you that Spurlock used to frequently visit this board and be bombarded with racist abuse and only a very small minority of us would defend him. So you can stick your virtue signalling **** up your ****ing fart pipes.

As for Gordon, the gripes I’ve seen about him is if you don’t get in line with him and his clique then you can get off the board, Comm left permanently and Saffy is consistently banned from this board. I couldn’t give a **** about your politics but ffs, the thread descended into chaos because one or two of the posters couldn’t accept a simple vote that was to be honoured by brb either way and decided to start throwing insults around, then come looking for more on the board they told us all to **** off back to.

Do you not think it’s a bit sad that old men talk like that anyway Tel. I’d be embarrassed even to admit it.

I didn’t have a dog in this fight mate, but you can’t categorically tell people they “chose to be offended”. Everyone has different tolerance levels, I couldn’t tell if anyone is genuinely offended via a post. But if he has asked for his account t to be deleted, that would suggest to me he was extremely offended. I also think that whilst it may have been misinterpreted, I still feel it’s a little bit disingenuous to not apologise for any misunderstanding.

Offence is taken, not given. I’m not apologising to anybody who tells us to go back to our own board and when we do, him and his boyfriend follow us there looking for afters.

I think it’s sad that Spurlock was consistently racially abused on this board, without any interference from a mod who bans folk for disagreeing with his clique. Hope you’re well Rooch.

I think the model only really applies to permanent paid for signings. Short term gap fillers, and players on a free that are therefore good value, can be any age. In fact I’d argue those players are preferable to be more experienced as they give the squad a better balance

Also remember “the model” is about players that are essentially undervalued, for whatever reason.

Age and inexperience are one of those reasons and the most prevalent.

But other reputations and factors come in as well. Players like Pritchard and Evans were undervalued due to perceived injury proneness. And both have been pretty much regulars for over a year until now.

Lowe will be undervalued as he’s hardly played and isn’t a young kid. So kinda gets forgotten about.
